AMRS will have an identical product on the market grown on the backs of yeast withing the year. Those walmart vitamins stacked with asbestos and lead and whatever other shit the chinks let seep into their batches? AMRS is growing that shit 99.999% pure on the backs of yeast. >>15421419
Implied volatility is one of the primary components that determines an option's value. All other things being equal, higher implied volatility equals higher option prices, while lower volatility correlates to lower option prices. Accordingly, then, a volatility crush corresponds with a drastic loss of value for a call or put option.

Specifically, the expression "volatility crush" refers to a sudden, sharp drop in implied volatility that triggers a similarly steep decline in an option's value. A volatility crush often occurs after a scheduled event takes place; for example, a quarterly earnings report, new product launch, or regulatory decision.

In this type of scenario, expectations for a big stock move were being priced into the options (via implied volatility) ahead of the event. Following the event, the news is priced directly into the shares, and the "uncertainty premium" drops out of the option price.

The threat of a volatility crush means option buyers should keep a close eye on implied volatility levels prior to entering a trade. If volatility is bid higher ahead of a known event, it will be relatively more expensive to buy options on that stock. Then, if the outcome of the event isn't quite as dramatic as traders were expecting, the stock price may be little changed even as implied volatility (and, by extension, the option price) plummets. When the disconnect between implied volatility and realized stock movement is wide enough, option buyers can end up losing money on a trade, even if the shares are moving in the right direction.

So the best case scenario is an unexpected movement if you want maximum gains and as little risk as possible.

yes, the price rises because there's more possibility for the option writer to lose money if the stock may change a lot, so he makes it more expensive. now i get that. that possibility is the IV.

so imagine you buy an MSFT call before earnings report, and they had a good quarter. is the premium, due to the IV, expensive enough that it's not profitable to buy the option right after the report?

Breddy gud earnings from Green Thumb Industries. Nice quarter over quarter growth especially. Not net positive yet but they're on their way. These are competitive numbers with Cresco Labs from last week.

No idea whether this will pump or drop tomorrow. If the dude weed in a sector wide bull run it would definitely pump but in these conditions it may sell off a little tomorrow.

You can backtest on Quantopian and QuantConnect. I think Quantopian is all basically python and it uses the zipline trading library that they developed. Uses Jupyter notebooks for research. It's not bad but I really haven't had a lot of time to dive into it to see if there's value to get out of it.

Nah, its obvious you’re trying to build a fan base. Seems like you’re hoping to either transition to selling a product at some point, and/or want to get enough people on board so you can get them to take the wrong side of a trade to really fuck them over.

Even Jim fucking Cramer acknowledges when he gets shit wrong, but you never own up to your fuckups. The first step in gaining some credibility and internet frens would be to make a collage of your big /smg/ fuckups.

How do you stop a deluded stock trader?
I've seen many on stocktwits and one on yahoo finance and a few here.

>Be me
>Look up a stock
>Stock consistently going down
>One guy hyping it up
>Hyping it for possibly 2 years
>Probably bought it at about $2.00
>Posts regularly
>Plays up the stock a lot
>Supposedly calls the company, sounds insecure yet acts as if it will do well
>Stock is now around $0.11
>"We should be getting news tomorrow, big jump coming soon!!!"
>"Bank lender extended due date, it means something positive!!!"

Idk how heavy that guys bags are considering how he's been shilling for quite a while. If he kept doubling down from $2.00 each time the price went down 25% of his previous purchase price, well then they must be pretty heavy, $20,000 if he did approx. what I just said. Current value? $2354. I did way too much math but how the heck do you stop a deluded stock investor from raving about a stock thats clearly going to 0/being delisted?
