Like anything in life, if a person or thing acts too big for what it can offer or provide to people then it gets shunned, ignored and knocked down.Think of the slightly above average looking guy at school who became semi popular then started acting like a rockstar, his looks were not congruent with how he was acting so he gets shunned until he acts in accordance with how he looks, or more importantly what he is actually offering.Or the reality star who acts the same way.

Likewise crypto spent 9 years largely under the radar, yes youd get bitcoin news reports, but really nobody understood it and 99.9% just considered it some weird funny money. It wasnt acting above its actual value.Fast forward to december 2017 to jan 2018 and crypto explodes on the world scene like its the internet x100, normies get scared they are missing the next tech revolution.Crypto is way overhyped for what it is.This is the average looking guy acting like a rockstar. When everyone realises its a bunch of money grabbing erc20 scams people made in 20 minutes and made million of dollars for out of, it essentially gets shunned.Crypto is dying a death, the marketcaps are STILL many MANY times higher than they should be.

Novogratz went all in in 2014 when OP did not even know about Bitcoin

Novogratz has not sold even 10% of his stack when we hit 20,000$

OP thinks it's over and Novogratz (and the Winklevoss brothers - people way smarter than him) are going to hold bags eternally.

KYS OP SRSLY

I madd such a huge amount in 2018 just by hodling a large short position on XBTUSD. What do you think? Will short sellers be replicating that success again now that BTC is firmly back in bubble territory?

Not comparable.Nobody doubted the internet was a gamechanger at any point after 97-98, what everyone doubted was that a large portion of the companies were grossly overvalued, which was true.Companies were getting 200 million dollar valuations off the back of having a website,When the dotcom bubble popped, 5% of the worlds population was already using it, and the majority of those users from first world countries. The amount of crypto users worldwide since the bubble is popping/popped was around 0.2%.

nothing out of the ordinary for BTC going on here. Looks about par for the course to me.
I agree that it's underdeveloped, but that doesn't mean it's overvalued. People have been saying exactly what you're saying since it hit $1.
There are smart people out there that sold for chump change and never looked back.

Wrong. Markets have nothing to do with being cool or not in HS. The dynamics of the markets have a lot less to do with "hey I'm acting too cool right now I need to go back to being a loser", and more to do with having real teams of intellectuals and savy businessesmen behind companies that are offering something that has demand. Like I said, your comparison is stupid and makes no sense. Only a child would compare markets to HS, or an adult explaining to a child..
