The crypto bubble was hastily engineered immediately following the Chainlink ICO. The purpose of this rapid inflation and deflation of asset prices was to erode trust in digital assets and quickly remove them (read: LINK) from the public eye. Of course, there was institution cooperation to accumulate as many Chainlink tokens as possible while keeping price as low as possible with low volatility. Generally, the scheme worked; if not for biz neets the accumulation period would have lasted 12-18 more months but the cat has been let out if the bag, so to speak.
