The goal is to be the top global reserve/stable currency based on a pool of global currencies and other assets.

They have a former SEC commissioner on their advisory board.

Early stage investors include Coinbase Ventures, Peter Thiel, Sam Altman, Digital Currency Group, Crypto Lotus, Refactor Capital, Jack Selby(Paypal founder), Distributed Global and many more.

This project is supported by the fucking moguls of Silicon Valley.

The mobile app will be released next month and they will be testing it various hyperinflationary environments, starting with Argentina.

They have another coin (RSV) that is aiming to be pegged to $1. This coin (RSR) is collateral backing to help maintain the value of the stablecoin. The price of RSR is soft-capped at $10 by the protocol. That doesn't mean it'll ever hit $10, but it can, and they're developing the protocol around that potential.

Coins don't pump on 'news' anymore, that happened only in 2017 and part of 2018. The app release won't have any major effect on price - 2x starting from 15-20 sats, if that. No interest in actively seeking new exchanges from the team. Chr has been getting a new exchange every month since listing and they had their ieo even later than rsr. This time next year you'll still hear this from rsr, " we understand the importance of liquidity but we cannot discuss exchange listings", they'll stretch this excuse for as long as they can. And anyway rsr will be forgotten by this time next year, forced into oblivion by bigger, brighter and more business-savvy competitors.
A quick look at its telegram group will in fact make you want to run. How is it made of thin air? This project sounds like it's taking a different approach, building a foundation in economies that actually could benefit from crypto but haven't had the benefit of am accessible stablecoin. Anyone who spends 10 minutes checking the site, Twitter, YouTube, etc. can see that there is a lot of substance here, and real people doing laying real groundwork.

Stability mechanism is innovative and it seems like Libra was even borrowing ideas from it. Your fud is based on thin air.

> How is it made of thin air.
First of all it's an erc20, aka "we're lazy, didn't do enough research and just wanna piggy back off ethereum". Furthermore they're consideration tron based, another scam.

They have no idea how ethereum transition from PoW -> PoS will affect them ( personally still in doubt eth will transition )

There's literally nobody on the team that has the proper economic knowledge to even properly consider the idea that they've thought of.

They literally have N O T H I N G to show for, no code, no algorithms, just a few blog posts and screenshots of an app any 10 year old could create.

As I have previously stated they will face regulatory issues, the sec won't just allow them to "become the biggest stablecoin business" dealing with sanctionned countries. Even if Nevin claims that they're not affected by it the Venezuelan govt won't just allow a rando us based company to become huge in their country without a proper deal, which in turn means Reserve will have to talk to the govt, which in turn will trigger the sec.

Reserve seems to claim they need KYC - i disagree, they need AML. They cant seem to tell the difference.

The entire community consists of people believing RSV may actually hit $10 and take away the spot of Tether - newsflash: it never will.

I dont even know why I keep saying this shit, any one with proper self reflection and a critical mind knows the chances of this working out are near 0.1%.

There hasn't been a single convincing argument in any RSR thread on why it could work.

Why not use DAI instead? How is it more decentralized?

>> No.15325557

>>15325282
DAI has a problem fundamentally. To get 1 ETH worth of DAI you need to lock up 3 ETH as collateral in the contract. As demand for DAI increases It's harder and harder to lock up 3x the worth of DAI in a contract, like there's no incentive. Why would i lock up 3 ETH worth of DAI to get 1 ETH worth of DAI while i can just go to the exchange to get 1 ETH worth of DAI for 1 ETH, And this is how the majority thinks.

RSR* won’t hit $10. They base that off an example in the white paper. One fucking line that says what would happen if RSR would exceed $10.

It still has a ton of potential though. I’m putting in a few hundred a month. They have a lot of work to do to prove this project has value to the public, thoug.

That’s how I feel. Why would I lock up 3x the price to generate a so-so stablecoin if my locked ETH is likely to get liquidated when ETH declines again? I just don’t understand why anyone would utilize CDP in such a volatile space.

And it's so funny and cringeworthy watching the Reddit discussions between the reserve team and maker after Kevin published his huge paper breaking down why makerdao won't/isn't working. It truly opened my eyes. It's simply the flavor of the month defi project but it will soon fade away. Leveraging human greed and incentive is what drives success within a decentralized cryptocurrency and economy. (I.e Bitcoin). And reserve has laid out the not-at-all challenging roadmap to create such a thing. Regarding ethereum, the devs already stated they are working to make it chain agnostic at the fundamental level and if ethereum fails (it won't) they are ready to create their own chain or migrate to a new one.

I love RSR, but this won't moon until it's listed on a US exchange and/or the arbitrage actually begins. The former can happen anytime this year and the latter might take longer. Definitely a sound investment though. The fudders brushing off the investors backing this project are literally retarded. It is a big deal.
