It's not just the tech (although I'm not sure they have that either) but also business development and the ability to build an ecosystem (ie. people actually building on it).

If you look at someone like Sergey with all his VC and blockchain experience built over years and years you can see the difference between that proposition and these French guys who are learning as they go.
