If the demoncrats had their way, this ol’ ‘umble forum would have been shut down a long time ago

schedule IPO launch postponed until 2020. Could potentially be later this year, but I'm assuming they're waiting for the turnout of the US 2020 election and will proceed afterwards

their business certainly has the potential to cause major backlash. No one wants additional layers of surveillance, but presumably it's best that it is in the hands of those who want to use it to further preserve our freedom rather than inhibit it.
With that being said; Alex Karp's interview with CNBC was a bit off-putting.
For the anons, I assume anyone investing early during the second term of the Trump presidency will see high returns over the 4 years to follow

It’s a constant race to keep despotism and dictatorship at bay
It’s why critical thinking and educated imaginations are fundamental to a thriving society
It’s a disgrace what’s happened to post secondary institutions. There has been a hostile takeover of schools by middling intellects and pernicious academics. It needs to stop before further social erosion takes place.

Agreed. I assume it'll balance out. You can already see it happening when students exit school with mountains of debt and worthless degrees. They're faced with the reality that poor judgements yield through a culture that panders to this judgment instead of plays against it for the individual's best interest.

Andrew Breitbart wrote a really great book called Righteous Indignation that goes into Post-WW2 Euro-Marxist academics coming to N. America and changing higher institutional rhetoric.

https://www.cnbc.com/video/2019/01/23/watch-cnbcs-full-interview-with-palantir-ceo-alex-karp.html

about halfway through the correspondent asks him questions about corporate-government relations.

His handling of the question seemed vague and disconcerting

Random anons and “time travelers” on dark corners of the net have told me to buy this ipo so many times for so many years that I think the programming might have actually stuck this time. But it is coming out at a terrible time for equities. Thiel must know this too. He’s not the type to just shit out an ipo as a cash grab when he’s already stacked. What did he mean by this /biz/? Why now?

Actually the more I think about it those were warnings about life extension coming from either Thiel or Google, not palantir’s software. I thought it had a similar name though.

spoken like a true good goy. extra surveillance is not preserving freedom, and it is not guaranteed future gov's will not encroach on our freedom and rights with it.
