What things should I buy that I will forever need and keep before my parents kick me out?

I make good money, have apartment double with garage lined up, etc. so I'm not worried about too much.

My dad has always had a tool for anything that went wrong. I want to always be prepared like he is.

I'm thinking about just going to Home Depot or Harbor Freight and buying 1 of everything. All I can think of is a drill and a huge tool box filled with tools. Maybe plumber stuff. Soldering kit.... Help me out /biz/

What's a good safe to store my precious metals?

What's a good vacuum?

What's a good, cool, useful shit you have in your place that you are glad you bought? (Assuming you're not a NEET)

>> No.15282128

just accumulate a nice collection as you need them for each project. Buy the nice version of whatever tool you need even if it costs 3x more if the quality is there. No point in randomly buying tools you might never use

buy tools as you need them, and buy good tools.

a good start is a screwdriver set and adjustable wrench - you can fix most things with them.

If you're gonna buy a drill, buy a bosch blue, milwakee or makita - just remeber the batteries are interchangable with their other tools, so you'll be locked in to the manufacturer ecosystem. I use bosch, been really good.

You're a grown adult, who's been living with his parents for long they are literally going to have to kick your ass out because you won't leave voluntarily... there cant be much "beyond"

Your dad was always repaired because he dealt with a lot of shit, the kind you'll deal with as it comes.

I have a ton of shit that I've just dealt with because I hired a contractor who split when he got in over his head and I had to fix and finish it. Things like drywall knives, troughs, multiple paint rollers -- you just get that kind of shit as you need it, maybe you use it again.

Minimum pick up some basic tools (screwdrivers, hammer, wrenches) that you might need for random shit. The rest you can buy as you need them and buy quality so they last a long time.

I feel that I’m the most qualified to talk about this with anon because it seems like you’ve gotten replies from people who live with their parents.

My brother says I live like a GTA character because I have multiple houses, cars, bikes, etc. i have multiple hustles and do whatever tf I want everyday.

You should get a nice safe and bolt it to your floors at your parents’ house. Keep your room there. Don’t let your parents change it. That’s what I did. I keep cars stashed at my parents and a motorcycle. Along with more expensive valuables: expensive jewelry, Precious metals, cash, Private key phrases, etc. I Have security cameras setup everywhere. I installed 12 4K license plate recognition cameras with NVR at my parents’ house. Always have your own NVR don’t trust that cloud storage bs where you pay a monthly cuck fee. Install cameras at all your places too. That should be the first thing you get. Keep a gun at your parents’ too. Make sure they know how to use it. I keep an M1A rifle there. It makes sense because they have a lot of land.

Get a shop for all your tools and bs. I have a lift, few cars, a boat dirt bikes motorcycles, quad all at my shop. I keep all the tools for anything I need there.

I have another house near closer to my parents with the basics. My brother calls this my “flop house” it’s basically where I go to party and hang out with my friends. This one is all modern decor. Couch, 70” 4K tv. Kitchen set. I also have a computer with studio monitor speakers & dj set (turntables and beat machine) it’s fun for parties. 2 bedrooms all ikea’d out. & just random gaudy shit - Versace Muriel, statues, columns. A few exotic plants (I get new ones every few months because I don’t take care of them). & keep a Glock 19.

My other house is a beach house about 2 hours from my parents right on the water. 2 bed 2 bath. 3 4K tv’s and all beach swag furniture. Persian rug some rustic shit cars 2nd boat 2 jet skiis

My gf lives at the beach house too so I have it swagged out with nicer furniture from Ethan Allen. Super comfy 8” memory foam tempurpedic mattress. No fun because I don’t want my gf shooting me in my sleep.

The thing is you have to customize your spot to your environment. Once it’s setup it runs itself. My gf cooks and cleans, gets groceries does my laundry etc. I bring Laundry from my flop house to my parents and just grab new clothes and cycle out the dirty ones. I have a washer and dryer at my flop but I never use it. Maybe 3-4x max. I keep barely anything in the fridge - my asshole friends eat it all or it goes bad so I just buy food from the nearest grocery store every single day that I’m there.

Don’t go overboard with stuff because when your place gets too cluttered it looks like shit. Custom trailer your furnishings and belongings to your environment.

I’m into motorsports and I have my dealers license so that’s why I keep cars bikes and shit everywhere. I’m constantly buying and selling shit and I don’t keep a car longer than 30 days. I just swap my dealer plate. So this probably won’t work for you but for me transportation is key. I need to be able to get in and out of places fast and efficient.

Also, for utilities I just pay electricity, gas, and cable - and for Cable I demand internet ONLY and the most bandwidth. I keep order fire sticks on amazon and put titanium (terrarium clone) on all of them and just rage tv shows/movies/live TV(sports) for free.

Buy tools as you need them. They are expensive. Get a basic toolkit though, screwdrivers, wrench, etc. You are going to constantly find new shit that you have to buy. Seriously though, don't buy any other tools until you actually need them, especially tools for one specific purpose. You can rent those. Are you moving into an apartment or a house?
