15273242 No.15273242 [Reply] [Original]

Sentinel:

1. The 3rd hub in the Cosmos ecosystems, other hubs include Binance DEX or Facebook Libra

2. Will be connected to Polkadot, Cosmos hub, Binance DEX, etc

3. Staking token allowing to earn fees like BTC miners in all the whitelisted fee tokens like SENT, BTC, pegged fiat, etc

4. Exponential growth of dVPN nodes, users, data consumed

5. Sentinel hub testnet running with top Cosmos hub validators

6. $10 million marketcap and volume around $700k in last 24h

7. LINK whales market buying huge amount like over 1% of supply in one order

8. Binance, CZ, Tendermint, Cointelegraph and others constantly shilling Sentinel in twitter

9. Raised below $2 million, probably the most honest startup in crypto and the largest amount ever raised by an anonymous team that is not a scam

10. Team is over 30 top devs that would make the devs teams of Google or Amazon feel envy

11. Team has been constantly delivering and adding code in github throughout the bear market

12. After the successful testnet was launched in July threads started to appear in biz and marketcap increased by 5x

You have to be literally blind not to see the huge potential of this project. This is my plan:

-Keep buying SENT while it is still low price
-Stake all my SENT with top validators after mainnet in Q4
-Sell staking rewards for USD and buy a beach house in the French Riviera, a small yacht and a new porsche sport GT with SENT logos
-Enjoy life with Sun, nice crystal water beaches doing snorkeling, harpoon fishing, having nice seafood in restaurants or fresh fish cooked by myself after fishing
-Nice, beautiful french girls to come with me to the beach, yacht etc

Let's be fair, you have no idea of SENT has real users. Users on any network can easily be faked, and it unfortunately happens all the time in the tech world.

And SENT going to "low" volume is an understatement. It was completely dead, a few thousand in bot trades a day. Nothing has changed fundamentally about the project as far as I can tell. The only thing that changed is that on July 11th a shill army came to /biz/, Reddit, and a number of other crypto forums and started scheming people into putting money in. It was OBVIOUSLY coordinated, you'd have to be a total brainlet to not understand that.

Whether or not SENT is a real project I don't even care, the use case is paltry. It has no long term chance at survival, and the recent price action absolutely STINKING of PnD doesn't help it in my eyes.

That plus the volume is still embarrassingly low. Any real money in will be hard to get out if this price action continues at this amount of volume. The real fear is that volume dies off and you're literally stuck for another 2 years with not even being able to sell. That opportunity cost is high because you will, in the meantime, miss out on plenty of solid tokens & coins continuing their upwards trajectory.

Anyway, you do you, but for me the SENT risks vastly outweigh the potential rewards, and not being able to put in more than $1,000 or so without worrying about if I'll get my money back even after a pump makes it multiple levels beneath my stack grade.

Good luck to those of you chasing the pump, I hope you come out on top, but for me this is a hard pass.

Which makes it even more suspect. "Here, run this code you can't see, it's private, we swear"
>What weird mistakes in the code?
Routing thru OpenDNS (logs and sells your queries BTW)
No obvious network sandboxing anywhere and when asked devs kept quiet (in the worst case this may mean random people having access to your LAN)
Using easyrsa defaults to generate keypairs (fairly weak and absolutely not recommended)
Hard dependence on the keypair and logfile being where the code expects it to be, without any integrity verification (worst case scenario any node can drop its own keypair and MITM you, or people get infinite free bandwidth by overwriting ovpn logs)
"Enforced enceyption" is really only the program looking at a line in the logfile
This also needs them to use verbose logging, which is obviously not great
They also aren't encrypting your DNS queries, probably cause they don't know how

This really shows me how retarded you are. People use bitcoin and BTC miners earn block rewards and transaction fees. Bitcoin miners dont give a fuck whether bitcoin code is not perfect, have some small bugs or some issues like scalability etc, as long as people use bitcoin and they get block rewards they are happy.

Same with SENT staking token, even with all your complaints it is still way better than any of the centralised VPNs like NordVPN, in which you just shift trust from ISP to them. This means that even if the Sentinel hub had only the dVPN zone (which is not true, there will be dChat and other zones too), the traffic from dVPN users and the block rewards would indeed make SENT holders very happy

Yes, which is why I'm not saying anything about those, because I'm not qualified enough to criticize their code. However, decentralized chat is already widely used elsewhere.
>You are just a tech nerd and you understand nothing about staking tokens and investment

Lol, VPNs can stop encryption whenever they want, dVPNs like Sentinel no because if any node tries to stop encryption they are automatically rejected from the network

Then don't fud Sentinel as if it was only a dVPN if you are aware it is a lot more than that

You don't care? I'm sure you do, everyone loves money and getting rich, you are just lying. Also, learn how to write in english, it is 'its use" not "it's use", it hurts my eyes reading your pajeet english

>> No.15273680

>Lol, VPNs can stop encryption whenever they want,
That's an outright lie. Encryption happens on your machine, and the cipher used is transparently reported by the program - this is actually the exact same thing sent uses to "enforce" it. If a remote server stopped accepting encrypted data, your data would still reach it encrypted and safe, it just wouldn't be able to process it and tunnel you.

>Then don't fud Sentinel as if it was only a dVPN if you are aware it is a lot more than that
A valid criticism of a central part of a service is not fud and should be called out.

>Also, learn how to write in english, it is 'its use" not "it's use"

>Lier, then why VPNs sell data to governments whenever they want?
That's not an issue of stopping encryption, that's an issue of using MITM or logging metadata. Both of which are currently issues on Sent network as well. The bottom line is to use a provider you can trust, or set up your own.

>Your criticism is invalid
Citation needed.

>when even with that criticism dVPNs are still safer and not requiring trust from users like in the case of VPNs
That's not true. I already told you how current Sent infrastructure can be abused to log data about you, except instead of one point of failure, you now have 5 or however many hops you do. And you have to trust none of them are compromised or honeypots. Also, you have to trust their as of now closed relay. Do you actually know how a VPN works? Be honest.

>your poor english is a fact and can be seen in this thread
You just wrote "lier", you don't have much of a place to criticize typos.

"The bottom line is to use a provider you can trust" haha, you are so cute and naive. You can't trust any centralized VPN, that's the whole point for dVPNs to exist

I don't need to know the details, what I know is that Sentinel dVPN is used and trusted in middle east countries for example. Once some dVPN sell user data to governments like VPNs do then come back with your fud

Haha, you are so easily manipulated, I wanted to see how much butthurted you were from your "the token or it's use", if it was an android autocorrect you wouldn't be triggered so easily

Yes, miners propose blocks (with the nonce until one finds right number, like flipping a dice many times) depending on their hashrate (that's Sybil resistance mechanism) and earn block and transaction fee rewards. The consensus is longest chain rule. 10min adjusted difficulty is to allow enough time for block propagation. Finality is probabilistic. Blocks are composed of merkle root and merkle trees so if a malicious actor tries to tamper and old block he would need to redo the pow of all following blocks since even the smallest change in an old block would modify the hash functions all the way to the merkle root in the block header
