Now that said you better believe I put some of every paycheck into crypto. I'm an hvac guy and have been doing it for a while and actually enjoy it. There are endless opportunities to make money on the side and when I do I won't work for less than 100 an hour and I'm still way below the cost of going through an established company. I will admit trades aren't for everyone tho. The work can be dirty, physical, hot as fuck, or cold as fuck so I get why a lot of people wouldn't want to do it. The other thing is that most trades guys are faggots and think they're the shit but are just trying to cope with their shitty marriage or just being a faggot. Fire protection Systems Installer (sprinkler fitter) here. Residential rate is 40 an hour and commercial rate is at 46 and change. Double time on weekends, pension, benefits.

I'm starting to think about the design side of things as I am able to get an accreditation which would give me the equivalent of an engineers stamp.

I could start out just drawing and inspecting buildings and then start to include installation at a later point. The other nice thing is that the longer I'm in the industry at any level, the more I'm able to grow my network. The plan is to keep working and learning, my next step is to begin looking into autocad and hydracad as well as the process in gaining my accreditation.

When I talk to traides online they all talk about how good their lives and how even yea its alot of hardwork but its fun and at the end of the day there is close to a 6 figure salary to take home

Whoever when I talk to tradies in real life they say they clear 60k-65k, hate their jobs because their bodies hurt so much and they wish they had gone to college instead

I just read a bit of quora (basically a mix of linkedln and yahooanswers) and according to them, it's seen as legit so I said "fuck it" and bought the 120 hr course (normally priced at 240).

I'm personally going to try to teach english on Qkids (supposedly legit). They offer remote work from home opportunities to teach chinese kids english. Working from home...

Sounds too good to be true but hey, based on what I've read, it Qkids seems legit too so I'm just going to go for it.

Also, I'm personally finishing a bachelors to become some 4th grade teacher. K-12 teachers have like 4 months off (albeit unpaid, BUT their salary MAKES IT as if they were getting paid time off. By that, I mean teachers make in say 8 months what takes most people 12+ months to make anyways). 3 months from the summer off. Like 1-2 weeks with the spring. 1 week for the winter. Maybe another week total with holidays. More or less 4 months off.

That plus I feel teaching 4th graders will be easy as shit, a positive environment (I'm not a fan of for-profits), and excellent work/life balance (on those 4ish months off. Even if they have ti plan out the year, you can do that anywhere. Like at the park or whatever. Chill).

It doesn't help that my boss is talking about retiring soon (he's like 65 and been doing this for 4 decades). One day it seems like he wants me to take over the business at some point, the next he doesn't look like he'll ever retire, or he'll just sell it off and be done with it. Either way i'm in the best shape of my life, learning more in my freetime now than I did in college, and genuinely enjoying even the shitty 10 hr+ days at work.
