I see you retards haven’t done your homework since you think I’m the one retarded.

What are 2 usecases that Sergey has used recently? Uptime and code acceptance. AWS, Github and Heroku are giants for which SLAs are pretty tight and uptime is absolutely critical for a SHITTON of companies. An uptime contract is one of the most basic realworld usecases since it’s so easily verifiable (data is already online, just meed to bring it onchain). All users of github will now have an instant assurance that their code stays accessible. Now, what about code acceptance? Rembember Truffle? The test suite? Imagine having 2 entities, one waiting for the other to write code that will serve it’s rightfull purpose? Imagine writing the tests firsts, and pay instantly when the published code passes them. An issue arises, oh no. How do I pay exactly $10000 once that happens? Guess what retards. Nodes are aldready trustwhortingly aggregating the eth price, ready for you to use and pay the right amount as of *NOW*. I’ve already said too much. But please, for the love of god, don’t try to swing too heavily or you will neck yourselves. Sorry for the bad english. T. swedish computer engineer

i think he's basically saying that github will start using the ethereum blockchain as a backup for code repositories as well as a nice way to trustlessly transact when a developer wants to sell code to an enterprise

he's saying the first usecase is high value inherently because having 100% uptime on a code repository is very important, the second usecase is a very natural one following the previous and will work very well via chainlink because the heartbeat is already making the ETH/USD price available on chain

Honestly it's not a good idea for people to try to run a node because they aren't going to offer any unique data, so they will never get picked to answer to a contract. Why would they pick your no-name node when they have nodes hosted by respected companies? Whitelisting for a node on Chainlink just adds your node to the Chainlink Explorer, which is only possible to browse if you already know the node's information. So you won't ever get noticed anyway. Besides how decentralized can a network possibly be if it's only hosted in Amazon cloud services? Which is exactly why people won't trust or need neet nodes. It's going to be an oracle marketplace, and you're competing with all of the companies who have announced that they are using chainlink oracles. And guess what, they're going to run and use their own nodes for their projects because they can.
