Jobs that have been gone for decades, do you think those people are seriously still just sitting there unemployed? No. They found someone to pay them for something else that society wanted. This has been occurring for hundreds of years and the market finds a way. If you start central planning this it will only get worse.

What is coming is the automation of professional white collar jobs. Accountants, lawyers, clerks etc...we really don't need them as much anymore. Definitely not in these quantities.

I reckon the next wave of blue collar automation won't be for thirty or so years. Honestly its cheaper just to hire a wagie. That's not so for accountants who cost as much as six or seven hammerhands.

there will never be as many new jobs created as were destroyed
unlike the industrial revolution, a vast number of jobs right now are do-nothing jobs that could be eliminated right this second without replacement and nobody would notice aside from all the newly unemployed poor
the reason the industrial revolution created new jobs was because we never had enough free hands to do all the labor that was desired, but that does not imply there is a limitless demand for labor going forward, people only have so much time to consume goods, more people working "creative" tasks will just dilute the market and reduce income for all of them
most importantly, those individuals who still have to labor for this system will not tolerate working for free to subsidize a growing class of dependents who contribute absolutely nothing to the system but consume vast amounts of finite resources all the same

No really it's quite simple. How would you teach an AI what an abstract concept like good or evil means?
You cannot, it's not possible. Human beings do not think purely in terms of 0's and 1's. We abstract things, and we make new things out of our abstractions.
This is why I cringe at the idea of a "singularity". Most forms of AI are so simple that they can only work under very strict environments. The reason is because they cannot reason, they cannot think without being provided a very specific set of data. True AI requires abstraction which robots are not able to do, and are nowhere close to being able to do.

"Machine learning" is not thinking. That's just the developer feeding a bunch of data-sets into a computer and forcing it to work within a very specific framework to achieve an end.
That isn't thinking. Teaching a parrot how to say good morning doesn't necessarily mean the parrot understands what good morning means.

This means that menial laborers can be replaced by machines. I concur with you. The correct response is not, however, to create an eternally dependent underclass (ie more niggers). The correct response is two fold.

1. In the short term, we should attempt to establish training programs for dislocated workers. Essentially, a more advanced version of "learn to code."
2. I am aware of the fact that some people are just going to be too stupid to compete in such an advancing technological economy. Thus, for the long term, we should encourage policies which promote a strong, smart, healthy race. It is. Burgerbots exist. Robots that can fucking do backflips and parkour exist. If you don't think technology will get to a point where they can do everything an 80IQ retard like you can, you cannot be saved.

UBI is the only answer because it softens the blow and allows people some time to figure out how to fight against the robots. They can use that money to survive to a degree and after they get back on their feet they can work to create new ideas to make even more money.

The future business economy involves taking AI and robots into account. Eventually, fighting it will be futile as no one needs to work ever again. We will eventually become a valueless society. Abundance will come, if we last that long.

Forcing an AI to write specific pieces of code under very strict circumstances is not the same as thinking, nor is it a concious AI.
You're so dumb it honestly hurts to read.
No AI has EVER been created that has been able to create sophisticated pieces of code independent of supporting sets of data. Every single AI that exists today is specifically designed to handle specific tasks. They cannot act outside of these environments because they are not conscious. They cannot think. Instructing someone to do something and having it grow based off that data isn't thinking. It is a machine logically gravitating towards what the developer has proclaimed to be a satisfactory outcome. It doesn't "reason" it's way there.

It might get to that point. Who knew that AI would even exist at this point so quickly, even if it is rudimentary or primitive. What if they make an AI that can self-code itself to infinity and that is their way of "thinking"? Who knows, but I'm sure someone will eventually bring us to a singularity and from there the world will either end or flourish exponentially.

Not true. Jobs today involve a lot of problem skills, which require the ability to think in the abstract. I'm gonna break it down as simple for you as I can:

The real world (laws of the universe aside) doesn't operate in terms of logic. It operates in terms of what is pragmatically considered good in accordance to the current moral, social and economic paradigm.

Imagine if you are caught speeding by a police-officer with a pregnant wife in the backseat. A human cop would probably be more understanding, but since machines cannot understand the moral aspect of things they lack the ability to be pragmatic. Pragmatism is what rules every day human action. You cannot develop your way to a machine that can reason, and therefore it won't replace most jobs. This is ofcourse blatantly obvious to anyone with experience in compsci. AI is overhyped garbage that will only touch menial jobs.
