My mom still buys most groceries I eat at 25. The only thing I buy on my end is locally roasted coffee beans for us each week. Every day I have two cups of black coffee. I have breakfast and I have one meal I pack for work. Two meals a day. Sometimes I buy pizza at work, two slices for five bucks, instead of packing food.

Don't you ever try anything else?

There's keto-friendly desserts, like dark chocolate, or those made with stevia and almond flour, even a simple coffee jelly made with heavy cream.

Or even just unbreaded fried chicken, or keto friendly vegetables and fruits like avocados and spinach.
Personally, I eat a lot of salmon sashimi.

Sometimes I have Lilly's chocolate bars but lately I've just been having the chocolate peanutbutter enlightened ice cream, it's soooo good
It used to have 3g net carbs per serving, 12g per pint and 360 calories per pint but they changed the recipe so now its 400 cals and 16g net carbs even though it still says 12g net carbs. I think they forgot to update the net carbs because the sugar went from 3g per serving to 4g per serving.
16g nit carbs only leaves me room for 7g more carbs and I've had my maximum allotment.
You should try chocolate peanutbutter enlightened ice cream. It's great stuff!

None of those are opiates. I don't take opiates. I could get opiates if I wanted to because of the pain I'm always in, and I was prescribed oxycodone for a year but I didnt want to be on it for life so I chose to wean down and get off it. I was on oxy because I got hit by a 18 wheeler on my motorcycle, broke my legs, and almost bled out but now I just deal with the pain (mainly my knees and some in my ankle and a bit in my legs). But none of the meds I'm on now are opiates.

The meds I'm on now are for my heart, anxiety, panic attacks, ptsd, and insomnia.

What I had yday pic related:

Sweet potato & courgette tagine with feta and cous cous.

I generally eat veggie most the time, when I have meat its a treat and I tend to try and source it as close to where it came from as possible, so local butchers, not supermarkets.

I eat alot of pulses and quorn and eggs.

Breakfast:
Always always x2 poached eggs on toast with hot sauce to serve.

Lunch:
Maybe a falafel wrap/salad with tomatoes, olives, hummus, boiled egg etc./possible leftovers of meal night before.

Dinner:
veggie chilli.w/rice + sometimes tortilla chips.(pulses)
Veggie bolognese (quorn)
Veggie lasagne (quorn)
Veggie Curry w/rice (pulses)
Veggie Tagine w/cous cous (just veggies)
Stir fry w/noodle/rice (quorn chicken pieces + boiled egg)
Veggie Quesadilla's (quorn chicken pieces)
Shakshuka w/quinoa
Quorn chicken nugger wraps w/wedges (cheat day)

Very occassionally I will go for a nice slab of lamb/beef.

I snack on nuts (typically unsalted) and apples.

Cereal is a late night thing for me, usually before bed after a hard session working out or if im stoned and have munchies.

Oh and I do have quite abit of cheese in my diet but its like the condiment for everything.

Britbong here , approx £50 pw.

Could make it less but my GF overbuys alot of shit we end up throwing out.

I wouldn't be doing this if I thought it was bad. I'm underweight at 6'3" & 156lbs so I'm not on keto to lose weight. I'm on keto because I think it's healthy. I eat like this for my cholesterol and heart. I get a full panel blood test yearly. I plan on making a cardiologist appointment later this year after I get my blood work done again.
The broccoli cauliflower and enlightened ice cream all have good fiber. There's 20g dietary fiber in a pint of the fake ice cream.

All the information about diets always changes. Eggs were good, then they were bad, then they were good, then bad, and now they're good again. Same with butter and other shit. All of the research is inconclusive. I just do what I truly feel is best and I get my blood work done and my body feels healthy. I could be slowly killing myself on accident though, who knows.

We know eskimos had bad hearts because of their keto diet. If a keto diet can cure several issues it's certainly not the case of heart problems.

he focuses on diabete more than heart. it still doesn't beat meta analysis

but anyway, the "standard america diet" with corn syrup and sugar in everything is so shitty that any kind of diet that cut that bullshit is healthier. For the heart there is substiantiated evidence of a plant based diet (it doesnt mean you should go full vegan) being superior.

And I agree, the problem with shitty food is it does make you feel shitty, but most people are so used to feeling shitty they dont know what it is not to feel it all the time.

The older Ive got the worse I deal with things like over-carb loading, and consuming of meat. It makes me feel lethargic for a couple of days sometimes.

Its summer now so we have had a few BBQ's with quite abit of meat, but even my guts feel it the next day y'know. I listen to my body mostly , I eat nuts to snack because I crave it, I crave all the veggies, I crave fresh salad.

Its light and nourishing, britbong food culturally tends to be the opposite, meat and stoggy carbs, you dont feel great after eating it, no real nourishment..

I'm 6'3" and I lay around all day and do absolutely no exercise ever besides necessary walking. I'm crippled and not even capable of running. But I wake up everyday weighing only 155lbs. I eat 2000 or more calories of high fat foods and get up to 160lbs max, usually 158lbs-159lbs and I wake up the next day at 155lbs.
I feel healthier than I have since my mid 20s when I was in the gym 6 days a week and didn't limit my food intake. I felt healthier then but that was also before I got hit by an 18 wheeler and spent 6 months in a hospital bed not able to walk and lost all my muscle and got fat and got other health problems.
I feel pretty damn healthy.

>>15067078
They're called complex carbs and I'm well aware of the difference between complex carbs and simple carbs. I used to eat a lot of complex carbs in my 20s when I was a gym rat. I studied nutrition and and fitness and laughed at keto back then. Until I started it a year ago.
Any type of carb will throw my body out of ketosis if I eat more than 30g, even complex carbs. I want to stay in ketosis. I feel like this is good for my body. So far by all indications it is good for me. I will get another full panel blood test done soon and see if my results continued to improve.

>>15067159
I'm not trying to acheive any type of body. I just want low LDL, high HDL, and a good HDL:LDL ratio and to remain skinny so I'm able to walk.
I'm crippled and when it happened I weighed 215lbs with good muscle and was in the gym daily. After 6 months stuck in a hospital bed I lost most of my muscle and weighed 210lbs and I was fat for the first time in my life. When I learned to walk again it hurt my knees so bad because they're fucked. They sometimes buckled under my weight. One of my legs is so fucked that I still can't leg press 20lbs with it. I have to keep my knee straight when walking and use that leg kind of as a crutch. 180lbs is still too heavy for my damn knees. I'm doing well walking now at 155lbs.

I'm hoping the cardiologist puts a camera in my artery and takes a peak at my valves/heart. I'm making a visit later this year after I get that blood work done again.
I've also got some other minor medical stuff I need to get taken care of if my heart/valves are ok.

I understand your point of view, but I think people are way over-complicating diet. I think keto is intended for short-term only (i.e. to lose weight etc). From my research I have found that perhaps the best diet is a Mediterranean diet, modeled after the natives of Icaria, one of the famous "blue zones".

So the solution is the Mediterranean diet combined with:
>moderate daily cardio exercise (minimum 30 minutes)
>some strength training to strengthen bones
>postural training to keep spine healthy
>proper breathing (see normalbreathing.com)
>companionship and community
>overall reduction of stress (I really recommend the Sam Harris Waking Up course)

Fasting* with up to 12g of salt (the rocky kind, not Morton's) and coffee. When I do "eat" it's protein powder with coconut oil. 1x or 2x a week I'll pig out at an actual restaurant.

So about less than 7 actual meals a week. Does that wonders for my mood and mental clarity.

* -by default I practice IF but in the past year, I've gotten through 1-2 day full fasts just because. I'd be miserable back on a 3x meal a day routine

sardines in olive oil are the best... helps keep the nutrients. also just drain the oil before consumption

Oatmeal for breakfast with a banana or potatoes real quick, then I either eat chicken or some meat with rice and vegetable of the day. I eat blueberry protein muffins as snacks and I drink a shake somewhere within the day. It costs like $40 - 50 a week, the cheapest I could make it at this time.

A slice of sprouted date and walnut bread with a thick cover of grassfed butter and peanut butter and a coffee with geassfed ghee and mct for breakfast

A fat chunk of salmon and steamed veggies doused in mct and seasoning or some nice organic sausages and a salad with plenty of oil on the dressing.

I pocket the mct, butter and salmon from woolworths so it's pretty cheap.

I average nearly $700 a month on food and drinking at bars... I used to spend $500 a month on bars alone, now the vast majority of that is eating out. It's really money down the drain, but I travel for work and it's hard to avoid.

So mass produced chemicals that were made during MK ultra clinical trials that are now in everyday food is still good for you? As long as you “work out”?

You will still be getting the effects of the cancerous food you are eating. Food is fuel, your body is a machine. Learning to control your diet will have a huge effect on your well being. Just because you might burn the calories you consume and your body doesn’t get fat from your diet does not mean that the fuel you are choosing is better for you. That’s like saying that 87 octane fuel burns the same as 110 octane race fuel. Vitamins, phytonutrients, and the proper fats are what are going to help your body in the long term
