The main reason for that is their console business went to complete shit faster than expected, since everybody waits for the new XBox and PS5 next year. Ryzen 3000 is selling great, in fact, it's selling 3.5 times as much as Ryzen 2000 series.

The current drop sucks, but I'm not too worried about the future. Lisa Su is still confident that the current 5% yearly revenue growth is on track, which means ~ 2.2 billion $ in revenue for Q4. Doesn't even seem that unrealistic, given how much Ryzen 3000 sells, ROME coming out on August 7th (there are rumors floating around that Google is likely going to up ROME over Intel's Xeons) and Q4 seems to be the real moneymaker, especially during Black Friday.

i just started playing with options, and part of it is that biggest options i took was some for last week before AMD delayed earnings (mad that i talked myself out of shorting them again this week, id have made bank today)

then i tried pic related monday (the 29th) thinking i could sell tuesday quick (because done this a few times with other strangles for profit), but instead it just dropped to no buyers, even at $0.05 per option, dispite this free "accurate" online calculator (which motivated me to just bite the bullet and make excel spreadsheet so i could just MATLAB options data manually)

it was play money i dont need, but up $200 then down $300 is irritating as fuck

just avoid calls that are out of the money if short term?
