Ponder this first:
What do you think happens to smaller nationstates when they lose their monopoly on currency and their ability to enforce taxation is continuously fleeting? Next, what happens to U.S dollar hegemoney? Think Libra, Bitcoin, Liquid dark pools, China/Russia/Iran silkroad (physical) rebirth.

Cool and all, but liquid only has like 88btc now. This is maximum copium hopium. Also cheering for a completely dark blockchain if it fuels a moonrun is a joke after years of MUH PUBLIC LEDGER IMMUTABLE VALUE.

Open your eyes a little wider. It is not about the amount now, I just have shown the demand is already in the billions from Chinese tether traders alone, evading only chinese capital controls. The sidechain does not change the function of the main chain. I’m not cheering for anything this will implode governments like dominoes. The foundation of the modern government relies on their ability to issue a currency monopoly and enforce taxation. The final pieces are being laid.

If they're really doing this to create a 200,000 BTC dark pool, I think it's TOO EARLY to do that.

Right now, the regulatory framework over crypto currency is still being laid down, and something like this will make regulation much MUCH more heavy handed.

IMO they should've done this once we had more widespread adoption, and when Bitcoin is more unstoppable.

Give the regulators the illusion that the ledger is completely transparent and traceable, and make their regulations around that assumption. THEN blindside them with this when adoption is so wide they can no longer shut it down.

>>15037193
In the grand scheme, 2B is not scratching the surface of how big this could be. I believe any smaller than 2B won’t get most of these users out of bed. At the end of the day, they can try to regulate but it can’t be stopped, pandora is out of the box.

>> No.15037315

>>15036854
nah he's right. A lot of countries with weak currencies are going to capitulate into Bitcoin as they get challenged. People will flee taxes, inflation, corruption, regulations and these nations won't be able to collect tax and eventually go bankrupt. The bigger currencies that are more stable and aren't as easily swept out by stuff like Bitcoin, predominantly the USA will be able to move in and occupy the territories left behind by these chaotic governments. Venezuela is already being couped by american forces.

Can you tell me how blockchains will communicate with the outside world? One day is gonna come when smart contracts will be adopted, and they will not use centralized data feeds with decentralized computation for their contracts as it beats the purpose to have a single point of failure.

Say I have 7 BTC now, and $100k in cash.
And say I have no ways of significantly increasing my cash or BTC

i.e. no job, no business, and I live in a shit country where a college graduate wage is like $300-400.

Have I made it?
Should I buy more BTC, or do I have enough, and should I just frugally neet it out using my $100k windfall?

Or should I risk it and buy more? At the risk of running out of money for neeting it out (I am unhireable for a variety of reasons so going back to wagecucking is not an option)

No, I can’t tell you how it will be done and I’m not disagreeing with that thesis. A self described “retard” asked me what he should do. He should not be navigating the risky waters of ICOs and fledgling tech for a world that hasn’t even come close to being built. Investing in Chainlink carries tremendous risk the biggest being in my opinion, right now, a centralized point of failure. There is tremendous founders risk even before chainlink tries to tackle the massive problems of adoption, innovation at scale, etc.

It is extremely hard to make this assesment without knowing you personally. If you have a way to get an income stream you absolutely should, even if small. If the wages are small, the cost of living should somewhat mirror that. If 100K can keep you alive for 5-7 years, DCA an additional 400-700$ monthly into BTC. Avoid gambling at all costs with no income stream. I don’t know what “making it” is for you but 7 BTC, if it is going where I see it going will be a comfortable life.
