I'm an ETH maxi but I have more $ in BTC than ETH
Ethereum is still the de facto smart contracts platform and it's not gonna change
TRON/EOS come close sure but they trade security for usability
and if we take BTC as an example, still the most secure blockchain, security > anything else. Also ETH has the 1st mover advantage in its field.

There you go
idk if it's a good buy but it's sure as shit a good product.

When, now or in the future? Cause now it's garbage regardless of what you try to tell me, and the future has no guarantees, especially considering we are moving to PoS which will make ETH founders royalty rich without having to even invest in any hardware or do anything really. ETH still a great play to flip for more BTC imo due to this hype you and others seem to share, I can see a pump to easily 0.1 BTC in the future

Literally retarded to buy ETH over BTC right now.

> Unknown inflation model. Has been changed, can be changed at any time

> POS has tanked the price of every coin

> Risky Tech upgrade

> Hyprid POS/POW model will be contentious involving higher inflation to satisfy both parties

> No more scam ICOs to support price, enter scam DeFi meme with 20% interest rates and risk of liquidation when ETH tanks again

> Risk of ICO scam dumps and 72 Million premined ETH dumps

> Price has been tanking for over 2 years now. $390 in June when BTC was $2,400 at .15 BTC ratio

This is how much you can trust ETH monetary policy. Vitalik also claimed it would take a century for ETH supply to hit 100 Million:

> approx ETH supply 95,912,556 time 2018-11-03

> approx ETH supply 98,562,556 time 2025-10-02

> approx ETH supply 101,212,556 time 2128-03-20

https://www.reddit.com/r/ethereum/comments/5izcf5/lets_talk_about_the_projected_coin_supply_over/dbc66rd/

remove the ICO scam & premine, that's a bit of a bad faith argument. From the 72 million premined ETH it went to many different parties, ETH ICO investors being the majority, a lot of them sold on the market anyway, and ICOs only hold 2 million ETH, and withdraw somewhere in the ballpark of <5% a month, and have been for a while now.

BTC, ETH, XMR, BNB, LTC are the ones with real uses and liquidity. I think they rank top down in that order too. ETH's time will be late 2019 or more likely early to mid 2020. If ETH 2.0 is on schedule it should pump with market anticipation.

The Ethereum network can't scale for shit. It's the hobbyist work of a childish amateur who still thinks communism is cool.
Consider this: he neglected to implement the ability for the network to communicate with external data. This is not a feature. This is a core functionality that he neglected, making all his network's promises and use cases worthless.
Chainlink had to be invented as a bandaid solution for his broken network.

Future enterprise grade smart contracts platforms will have this functionality included, won't need Chainlink, and won't get frozen by Crypto Kitties.
