So when you buy gold you are going to pay a premium of a couple percent maybe up to five percent. I get that. But when you go to sell gold how bad are you going to get fucked? This is my problem with it as an investment, kind seems equivalent to buying negative yield bonds.

When inflation/recession happens you are able to trade your wealth for other valuable assets i.e. land and real estate.
