How can I get motivation to do what I have to do? How can I stop browing /biz/ and spamming telegram cryptocurrency groups? Please help. Ritalin and coffee aren't working anymore.

Fine, I'll bite. What are you motivations?

Did you mean my goals? I need to finish the last few chapters of my Ph.D. dissertation and apply for jobs.

if you’re asking how to get motivated you’ll never get motivated.

For example once I needed some motivation to start using my treadmill, so i found some hot chick video on youtube who was instructing you while you were supposed to run on the treadmill. Worked for about 5 minutes, then I stopped and just fapped right to her face. Never used the treadmill anymore since then.

The point is, you don’t find motivation, motivation finds you.

Are you mining crypto on your phone? Check out the Pi Network and Electroneum (ETN). Both coins offer free mining on your phone. Go to their respective websites, read them and download the apps.

You'll need an invite code to begin mining Pi.
>Use "Moonshot" if you don't have one already.

Electroneum is open for everyone but you can get a boost by using a referral code.
>Use "C729B6" if you don't have one already

When you're up and running just lean back and let the coins trickle in.

Good luck.

Motivation is not free or cheap or easy

You get motivation by putting yourself in a situation you have not been in before

But you are afraid to do that, hence your coffee drinking and binging on the internet

There is a world out there. Move out from your hometown somewhere big and far away

Travel somewhere on a whim, put yourself in situations that make you feel uncomfortable. Then motivation will come -- the motivation to survive

But you won't do that, will you anon? You'll just browse 4chan with your coffee. Continue on

I completely agree with what you wrote. I've traveled a lot and I can't wait to do it again.
The problem is, right now I need to finish my PhD dissertation before I move on the next phase, and I just haven't been able to focus on it. I've always been self-motivated, but I'm suddenly feeling lethargic and all I do is browse 4chan and watch cryptocurrency prices. There's no one pressuring me to get things done, I need to find figure out a way to get out of here and recover my drive to work, but I keep going back to mundane distractions.

Anyone else use weed to get ideas then gets drunk as hell to implement them?

I don't eat well sleep well or exercise so I resort to weed and alcohol

This. I've gone through cycles of peaks and valleys mentally over the years, but the recovery in general always goes
> Randomly get a great nights sleep
> Decide to start working out again
> Worked out so want to eat right
And then you're tired from exercising, cooking a well balanced meal, on top of your normal daily schedule, leading to another good nights sleep, repeat.
