Worked for me by gradually reducing the amount. It's really the OG thing to quit anything. Slowly, slowly wean yourself off. Eventually, like myself, you'll likely light up a cigarette someday and just be plagued by the feeling that its,
>kind of inconvenient right now
>doesn't even taste that good
>actually feels kind of bad
>feel like you look like an idiot
and then you realize,
>Wait, this isn't me anymore.
Good luck, Anon. Remember some key piece of advice- you probably don't need as much nicotine as you think you do. Look at timelines of how much nicotine is in your blood, etc. Try the "gradual Turkey" if you fail at this.

My great grandfather owned a pipe shop. Both my grandparents smoked every day since they were 10 years old and lived till they were 90. My whole family smokes tobacco. Lies. Nicotine isn't even good - it's only the craving for it (and the relief that a smoke provides) that makes it worth anything. Quit and you don't have cravings and nicotine is plain gross.
It's literally only good while you're in the grips of the addiction.

>>14960918
Good on you, op. 24 hours! Fuck yeah! The hard part is behind you, it's easier from here out. Every day for the next week will be easier than the last - you'll still be hit by a "damn a cigarette would be good" feeling, but those feelings pass. Just remember how much the last day sucked and decide that you don't want to go through that again. Another day or two and you'll only think about cigarettes a couple times a day. After a week you'll realize that you went a whole day without even thinking about it at all.

IT GETS EASIER. YOU GOT THIS.

>> No.14961214

If you fail at quitting cold turkey you can try asking a doctor for a prescription to quit smoking. They will try to give you patches or some other bullshit that makes you bleed from your asshole.

After they are done shilling, tell them you’ve done research and you don’t like the side effects and poor effectiveness of those methods. Tell them you want Wellbutrin which is a mild antidepressant. You go on it for 2 months, and for the first 1-2 weeks you smoke as normal. Actually what will happen is by the 3rd day you will start to actively dislike smoking. Worked great for me and some of my friends.

Not for those with adverse reactions to antidepressants. Gave me suicidal thoughts (known side effect) which I obviously didn’t act on. Haven’t had a cigarette in 6 years.

Good luck anon.

The reason they push for anti smoking campaigns is to raise barriers of entry into the industry, which they already control. Smoking tobacco in 99% of the cases wouldn't result in cancer if it weren't for the chemicals they add in it. They started adding literal poison to the cigarettes as a part of the anti-smoking campaigns:

>"See? Cigarettes cause lots of health problems! That's why you NEED to have this industry regulated!"
Notice how every single campaign ever focuses on the 'need' to regulate the industry, never EVER on forcing these companies to stop adding literal poison to their product.

based, nicotine is fucking excellent and has revolutionised my social life and re-wired my brain in positive ways.

Alcohol is more important, but nicotine is close. I smoke only on nights out or when drinking (0-2 times per week, 3-20 cigs per time) and love it.

I'm literally not addicted to it and never even think of it at other times.
