No clue, I can't stand these kind of youtubers personally. I see them all as sellouts, for example.. why would they need to promote their books, courses and shit on their youtube channel if they are "very successful" traders/investors? I get it that it's more income for them but come on... just provide the content for the viewers, get revenue from the one ad per video and call it at that.

Thinking about selling DAX + OMXC25 and opting for an Nordic/Scandinavian ETF instead. But I'll let these run for a couple of years at least.

That's what I set out for as well, when I looked through ETFs to begin with...Most EM ETFs are >60% in China, so I opted with the one mentioned in my previous post

Also lol'ing hard at Ireland being on the list.

As for Germany...I don't know, honestly. My country's neighbor + they've historically always been the economic powerhouse of Europe. They've also had a couple of shitty years, so I thought (naively) they would rebound hard soon, but eh.

It's all good - long term I have faith in the German economy...right now? Not so much.

>Is there really no hope for LCI?

DE Shaw and BlackRock think there might be hope for LCI
But remember, those are big funds. Blackrock has 6 trillion USD AUM, so their position in LCI is a speck of dust. If LCI gets bankrupt, the higher-ups just make fun of some analyst then everyone goes out for beers. dE Shaw's LCI holding is more substantial as almost a percent of AUM. You are (probably) not a ten billion dollar management firm, so you should not be taking huge positions in single high volatility companies.

Too much volatility can, and usually does, kill compounding by making your investments more of a random walk up and down.

If you truly understand that compounding + time is key to true and lasting gains, the next step is to ask "how can I set my investments up to achieve stable, tax-advantaged compounding?"

LCI surged up 40% on Monday for basically no reason. (Arguably, LCI is undervalued for no good reason, so it was just rising back toward a fairer price, but the point remains that there was no obvious catalyst for the share price to climb so rapidly). If it happened for no reason, just imagine what will happen as the company continues to turn things around. At any rate, the short squeeze is ON HOLD until further notice, so depending on your cost basis, you might consider selling some covered calls.

I'm going to be straight here. I am a cuckold, but I am also a white nationalist. I believe that whites have contributed more to humanity than any other race, space travel, antibiotics the list goes on. But when it comes down to it, blacks are just better at screwing. There is no shame in admitting that despite the infinite intellectual and moral superiority of the white race, black cock is just better at pleasing women. The reason white women are turning from the cause and running to niggers is simply because they are not being sexually satisfied. Can you blame them? If you dont get enough to eat at home youre going to go out to eat. The only way to save the white race from miscegenation is cuckolding. My pure white wife is my angel, the apple of my eye. And I want nothing but the best for her. So every friday she gets to have her fill of BBC. And our relationship goes on like normal. We love each other, and plan on having a child soon. She also shares my red pilled beliefs. Monogamy is a tool of the jew. Just give it a chance once. Its exhilarating. Theres something deeply majestic about watching a toned muscular black stud going in and out of a beautiful white woman. Try it once.

When you sell a call contract on a stock you're agreeing to sell the buyer the option to buy 100 shares from you at the strike price, for example one you're looking at is $7.50. It expires on Aug 26, so on Aug 26 the person who bought the call from you has the option to buy 100 shares from you for 7.50 each. If the stock's price is below that, he's obviously not going to do it, he won't exercise his option. If that happens it will expire worthless and you will pocket the premium he paid to buy it from you, in this case .40 (in reality that's $40, remember options contracts trade lots of 100 shares). If the price goes above 7.50 before Aug. 26, you're in trouble, as you might have to sell your 100 shares for less than they're worth.
I really like selling options contracts, but be aware that you're potentially hamstringing your profits (or incurring potentially devastating losses if you're not careful). Selling a call on stock you own 100 shares of is called selling a "covered call", and it's best used when you're conservatively bullish on a stock but want to hedge against potential downsides.

if you don't have 100 shares I wouldn't worry about even fucking with selling calls if you don't have a full grasp on it... also.. you should sell calls mainly on spikes and when premiums rise.. the underlying may rise but the premiums may stay stagnent.. on dips if you're bullish... and premiums are pretty decent.. sell puts...

lets say you sell that call for .40.. if it strikes and you give up your shares you're making a little more than 10% on your shares.. but if they don't hit the strike price and they expire worthless then you keep the $40 you collected for selling the option... BUT if the stock is at $10+ you robbed yourself of gains.. you could've held it and sold for a higher price in the market at that time.. if you don't care and just want your 10-20% then so be it.... imo.. it's more of a time thing...

EXCLUSIVE-White House preparing order that would cut drug prices for Medicare -sources
6:39 PM ET, 07/24/2019 - Reuters
By Michael Erman and Carl O'Donnell

NEW YORK, July 24 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump is considering a sweeping executive order that would cut prices on virtually all branded prescription drugs sold to Medicare and other government programs, according to two industry sources who had discussions with the White House.

The order under discussion would be much broader than the Administration's previously disclosed proposal to lower prices on physician administered, or Part B, drugs by tying prices to lower costs in other countries.

The administration is now looking at ways to use this or a similar method to lower prices in Medicare's much larger Part D, which is for widely used prescription drugs patients take at home, such as for cholesterol and blood pressure, the sources said.

The White House declined to comment, and it was unclear how far along the any such plan was from being undertaken. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, also declined to comment.

Americans pay the highest prices for prescription drugs in the world as most other developed nations have single-payer systems in which the government negotiates drug prices for its people.

The U.S. government in 2016 spent around $29 billion on prescription drugs in Medicare's Part B, which includes most injectable drugs, and nearly $100 billion in Part D, which covers as pills and other drugs usually dispensed in pharmacies.

Trump is also considering extending the pricing controls to the U.S. Department of Defense, which runs the Tricare health plan for military personnel and their families, as well as the Department of Veterans Affairs, the sources said.

yes to the first part, it's no secret. the interesting part is the specifics (they get closer to the limit of vanilla rate cuts, so which cards should they play and when?)

the most hawkish thing they say would be "we aren't cutting rates or implementing a massive buy program YET, we just want to see what the US Fed does, but we promise we'll turn on the money hose at full blast in September."
They probably won't be that hawkish, they will probably give some kind of concession today.

Kicking out refugees helps Europe, but it still doesn't solve certain structural financial and economic issues that they have.
At the end of the day, there is no European Google or Facebook or Amazon or Apple or Microsoft or Oracle or Alibaba or ... you get it. They don't have these kinds of innovative companies in the same magnitude that the US and China do.
Europe mostly just makes airplanes and boats and cars (with heavy regulation, and plenty of breaks from work...). As you might notice from the recent F and TSLA earnings, we're at a point in the cycle where people are tightening up on car purchases.
Kicking out the refugees would help, it would be great. But there are real problems at their neck that need more solutions than just kicking out the non-Europeans.

Seems that business and investment are necessary for economic growth, and nothing scares off business and makes it hold off on investments like massive uncertainty.

Brexit is a massive question mark for the EU. If you were a business, would you build a factory in Britain or the EU without knowing what the terms are and how it’ll shake out? If you were a country, would you be investing in infrastructure or making big policy decisions until you see the results?

And then there’s the uncertainty of what trump will do next, what will happen with the US-China trade war, what to do about Iran sanctions, Syrian sanctions, and if we widen the lens it seems like Japan-Korea conflict could have large economic consequences, and there were also sanctions or trade conflicts developing in Russia/Ukraine if I remember correctly.

Compared to all that and more, the refugee thing seems very predictable: you’re going to have more people who are poor, uneducated/unskilled, can’t communicate well in the local languages, and won’t be easily assimilated. So, yeah, likely outcomes will be nativist backlash, increase in crime, increase in unskilled labor, likely increase in unemployment. Those seem like easy to account for things, though not exactly good for short term economic growth, especially in tech/engineering fields.

And quite right about euros not having and of those big firms that are responsible for much of the worlds economic growth. Which is why more regulation like The recent laws and money grabs like frances lawsuit/tax seem likely.

My thesis had three legs. The first leg was EU sanctions and escalating tensions in Cyprus. EU sanctions turned out to be very weak, but did have an effect on the price. Unfortunately the EU sanctions were announced the day I was planning to buy and were planned to be officially signed the following Monday. TUR had already taken the hit. Turkey is continuing to double down, but also at the same time walking back certain statements. They've confirmed they will be sending 2 additional ships into Cyprus's territory and continuing their actions. They have also released footage of submarines guarding these ships. EU has been dead silent regarding Turkey's threats and increasing rhetoric. This leg is merely sprained at the moment.

The second leg is the interest rate. This one is not entirely damaged, we will have to wait until tomorrow. There is a decent amount of economists and media that are now shifting their tone towards the rate cut. There is also additional information about the rate cut that I had not entirely considered. We will have to see tomorrow how deep this cut is. This leg is still somewhat alright.

The third leg is US sanctions. Trump is dragging his feet with the sanctions and in a meeting today with congressional members, appears to not care. This is more nuanced than the previous legs. One one hand Turkey has a very important US base which is used as a staging ground for many missions in Syria. After Turkey being booted out of the F35 program, Turkey increased tensions. This appeared to be good at first, but Turkey is also now threatening a much more aggressive movement into Syria. Turkey is also threatening to increase it's activity in Syria if a "safe zone" is not created. I believe the "safe zone" is just a buffer zone for the Kurds to be separated and dealt with later. US troops are currently still with the Kurds in Syria. So all of this considered, the entire status quo is a baby bird in Turkey's hands.

Turkey also has a portion of Northwestern Syria in their control, they've been harboring moderate rebels, extremists, and everything in between (allowing the more extreme groups to recollect themselves and continue to stage attacks on Syria's Government). All of this together makes it a very tricky situation. Any escalation from the US can lead to Turkey saying fuck you, you can't use the base, we will now do what we wish in Syria, the PKK/YPG will be wiped off the face of the Earth and we will grow closer with Russia. I believe this is a complete fucking bluff. Not only is Turkey increasing relations with Iran and Russia, who directly oppose anything of the sort, but they also will lose any sort of Western protection. It's absurd to me that the world is bending, East and West, to Turkey who holds very little actually control in the grand scheme. There is no way in hell Russia or Iran would allow Assad to topple and to topple to Turkey of all things. I suppose I'm biased because I have money on the line, albeit a very small portion, but this is appeasement to a man in a house of cards. So in short, fuck TUR. The one thing I learned from all of this is, I should have waited until now to buy and to buy a put much longer out. I believe Turkey will get fucked soon, but not soon enough. It would have been nice to buy right now as all the "good news" is baked in, but the tensions will most likely increase. All this to protect the status quo of a country with no real power projection.

Expirations are one of the reasons I don’t trust options. If you buy shares and they go down, they don’t just disappear, and that’s usually the time to buy more. But if your option expires, poof! You get nothing, you can’t DCA, and you can’t collect divvies and wait for a recovery.

I’m sure my logic is flawed, but I need more simplicity in my life and options are complicated.

I haven’t been paying too much attention to Turkey and Syria tee bee aiche, it feels like there’s so much going on in the world and my own life has been thrown for a loop so fuck it. It may not be the literal YPG, but most of the Kurdish forces support each other in one way or another. I have a friend who just got back from a tour in Syria. Kurdish forces and US forces essentially share a base of operation. From what I understand, US troops are there to secure the area, run special ops, and make sure the Kurds are not attacked by Milities, Assad, or Turks.

Maybe, but leveraging isn't your friend. The way the math works, any downtick means your earning multiple is less than the leveraging multiple, on top of the intrest cost from the loan.
