While there are serious security risks in the protocol of Bitcoin, it is still considered to be the top dog of crypto. The downfall of BTC is obvious at this point.

the obvious scalability issues with BTC is why I ignored it in 2010. it's kinda crazy that it took off as much as it did imo. it's definitely not the best technology, but it's hard to imagine it dying at this point. it's never going to be a currency, but we can keep trading it as a commodity.
