I tried using brave. The ad popups were annoying. I still did not want to view ads even when being paid to do so. When my BAT wallet accumulated a meager amount of BAT, all I could think of was how to immediately dump it and exchange it for BTC but there was some kind of waiting period, so I just uninstalled Brave and went back to using Firefox with uBlock, noscript, https-everywhere and ghostery. Full disclosure, I am all-in on Chainlink.

Same. It's annoying like getting text messages. It's worse if you run dual monitor setup and have the Brave window on the second monitor. The notifications will pop up on your primary monitor and if you're in Photoshop, making music, or whatever, the notifications get in the way of the buttons.
