>first stock is a microcap biotech

People usually lose money when they're first starting out in a "death by a thousand cuts" (a bunch of small losses from "cutting losses" early) kind of way
You're most likely going to panic sell when it goes down 5% in one day at some point (normal volatility for a small biotech), and like any other biotech, there's a risk it could fail one of its catalysts and plummet massively
I recommend starting off with a small amount of money ($100-$500) to minimize the impact of your inevitable mistakes and to start off with more stable stocks until you get at least a vague general feel for how the stock market works

anyways, if it is the experience that has made this company so valuable, then i hope that they know how to conserve it (maybe literally asking the ones with it and saving it in files?( and continue growing strong. they definetly have my respect.

1. pretty much. if you are trading the sp500 based on historical data you cant ignore that the sp500 reaches all time high after each inversion. Otherwise you are ignoring full data for your own random bias. Its always been a giant short squeeze for small specs.

2. commodities should never be held. Its cool if you want to collect rocks as a hobby but Yieldless metals drop hard in a market crash and perform worse than bonds for both investment and beating inflation.

3. Bonds are also inferior to consumer noncyclicals long term. So really the only logical thing to do is buy + range trade dividend aristocrats

You should have plenty of cash to buy the dip anyway unless you lose your job, and always keep a portion of your account in cash anyway for trading. Use the bollinger band method

>> No.14868934

Hey, thanks.

So what you're REALLY saying, is keep going heavy into MO-babies. Collect the DRiPs, buy the dips, and trim the rips. And that monthly bollinger bands are like slingshots?

This manga any good? I feel like reading something tonight that isn't Berserk or Weight Training Waifus.

kudos on that insane run today, PM and BTI both wayyyy outperforming MO's pump.

JNJ at 120?! It hasn't been below 130 since like January. if that happens to JNJ... yeah I may have to sell some winners to pump money in there. I think it's more likely UNH keeps dropping tomorrow, and that's another favorite. Gonna have to start selling stuff...

As much as I like my gains in Nintendo and Salesforce, I feel like it's time to be more value oriented and trade in for the companies that require acts of the gods to disrupt. There's enough growth opportunity in DIS and MO.

that said human ability of knowing the truth is shit, and you always forget something.... how can you hold everything in your mind? you are not god, just human, and hybris is the greatest evil there ever was because there is no better way to kill your self than to lie about what that self is. the very second you boast on an online waterboarding theory forum the little chances you had of clarity of mind are gone. the second you dont post on said forum you give in to apathy and start jerking off so how can you keep that at bay without pure willpower? and using that willpower to judge if what i have said is true or not, not ignoring it or leting it slip like everything else, because that is truly how you ended up like this.

I don't think I'll be eligible for HSA contributions anymore, but with all the savings on insurance premiums, what's a 12% income tax? I'm thinking a small cash account ($1,000 or so) and then putting the additional medical savings in TIPS. January's SNSS profits will go a long way toward funding that account.

Nah, writing calls is so safe your Grandma could do it. Seriously, Imagine getting paid to potentially sell your stock. I do like to take it up a notch and write on high IV underlyings for premium cash grabs - that‘s how I do it. I don‘t care about equity appreciation, I just want the premium.
