You Nano idiots are so predictable, comparing yourself to BTC. Bitcoin has earned its reputation due to enormous hashpower and proven track record for a long time resisting all kinds of attack. Nano has nothing of this. No one is buying BTC due to the great and cutting edge tech.

Worse, Nano was pushed by sociopathic devs, lying about 7000 TPS Dec 2017, pic, and Italian scammers at Bitgrail. Due to the incestuous relationship, devs and their friends got 15 million USD out of Bitgrail, as admitted on Nano discord, while normal retail investors were stuck and lost 170 million USD.

VISA is calibrated for 60 000 TPS due to peaks like emergency catastrophe, holidays like Christmas etc. What is Nano's real TPS now? 130 according to last spam test. Or 250 from last summers test? No way in hell can Nano have the tech to be a global micro-payment system. Even if you did, let's say you managed to have the minimum TPS for a global micro-payments system, 100 000 TPS, what would the enormous costs for bandwith, CPU and IO be? Have you crazy Nano fanatics or your scammer devs ever done the cost analysis? Remember that your whole crazy and dysfunctional business model is that all that costs and work must be done by volunteers fro free for all eternity with no downtime ever. Nano is a dead project with sociopathic and borderline criminal devs and a crazy cult-like fanbase. Worst in crypto.

Why would I buy NANO after 2 exit scams when DAG is better in every way and has more room for growth?
Just as Nano, DAG is:
>Free
>Instant
>Green
However, they are superior to Nano in virtually every way.
>Part of a large ecosystem, with real use cases that will provide security for the network and world-wide market. Same as IOTA, but better
>This large ecosystem and not solely a currency will provide protection from Central Bank regulators, like ETH & IOTA, but unlike Nano.
>All zero-fee systems are open to spam attacks. Constellation has a much more advanced and elegant solution than Nano with their reputation system.
>Nano has an insane business model where Nano node operators have to do it for free. This will either lead to a crash, where no one bothers to run nodes for fun and take all the costs, or an insane centralization where Amazon controls nearly everything. Constellation has a very elegant solution where micropayments are free for everyone, while large consumers of bandwidth will have to either pay for it in DAG tokens, or run their own nodes

On top of that DAG's devs just burned all their coins in a sign of sign while NANO has been through more backstabbings than any other coin. Its not even that fast by todays standards

>> No.14853936

LOL at the people talking about node incentives. Theres literally 10000 btc nodes that a running as non mining nodes 'to verify the chain' TO VERIFY THE CHAIN IS OWNED BY CHINA??

Must be nice having the pleasure to see all your bitcoins transfer to china every time you move it to binance or for the life of me I'm not sure but to use it LOL. there is only like 5 nodes that matter in btc and they are all run by CHINESSEEE mining pools (hash rate is poinnted at these pools but the mining pool actually runs the node). Then you have retards saying there is no incentive to run nano nodes. Good old AMERICAN NODES. FREEDOM!

no paying china to use it, no waiting a hour while china man thanks you for your donation to transact on his chain, uses next to no energy so liberals will be all over this and it is starting a moon mission. A Nano dev came and could not refute a single one of my points. Worse, he was so stupid that he insisted that the average TPS of PayPal was the correct benchmark, ignoring that PayPal does not engage in micro-payments, like a coffee, does not bank the unbanked and last but not least, average is totally insane as a payment system must be calibrated to handle peaks, like Christmas or emergency situations. He clearly had no understanding of basic micro economics. After that he ran away. I posted some more posts to back up my claims and the dishonest Nano community flagged all my posts, with zero attempt of any kind of rebuttal.

Nano's claim in their whitepaper is absolutely rubbish. It's just as crazy as me stating that I will go the moon using my bicycle, proudly claiming that my speed is unlimited, only restricted by my muscle strength and I am getting stronger and stronger for each day and very soon I will be strong enough to get such a high speed that I will jump to the moon. Ridiculous. Do they have any written plan for 100 000 TPS? Any cost analysis? ETH and other competitors will roll out 100K to 1 million TPS in a matter of months or one year.

dude its not 2017 anymore, your 3500TPS isn't that impressive anymore, especially when you are completely dependent on others to run local nodes for no incentive while also having easy exploits for users to spam nodes with empty transactions that still hasn't been addressed since November of last year.

If you want a solid DAG, hedge on IOTA if you believe in the Quantum meme, or hedge on Constellation if you believe in smart device integration memes.

NANO was niche as a device for moving things around back in 2017, but its not unique anymore for being "feeless, scalable, instant" when others do that job way better. Also the brand's trust is fucking shot after so many controversies, and it being a mostly Reddit coin, at least in /biz/ circles.

I would know, I bought in a $1 back in 2017 because I knew DAGs would be the future of crypto, but after Bitgrail I sold at 13 while it was on the way down and never looked back.
DAGs are in fact the future, but NANO ain't it chief. I would say look into the quantum preparedness tests IOTA is doing or the integration for Constellation for some more solid tech. IOTA is definitely safer but lower ROI because its already so high, DAG is a fuckton of room to grow and has devs who burned their own stacks so they can't just exit scam, while also having entered the market during the 2018 crash so its completely botttomed out in price and underbought.

As long as Nano is an amateur network with no traffic. What happens if Nano ever (highly unlikely) manage to reach 100 000 TPS, the bare minimum for a global currency, what are the costs then? Please present your cost analysis-

By that time larger businesses will have started nodes, and the hardware would have to scale if the network wants to handle 10kTPS, let alone 100k. It's a no brainer that the hardware will have to scale, but the network doesn't need such hardware currently.

Then you have complete centralization with Amazon, Ebay etc controlling everything, and when that's the case, why not use a bank? Use of Nano will then be like Twitter and Facebook, completely controlled by the people in power.

Remember it's not the power of the node that determines voting control in the Nano network, it's the amount of Nano people delegate to their node of their choosing. If a node or group of nodes gets too much voting power, people can freely move their delegation to another node or nodes.

Again, that's not how it works. anyone can re-delegate to other nodes whenever they want. If anything were to get close to halting the network people will act in their best interest (as to ensure the network continues operating) and would select other nodes.

It just wont happen.

Nano has done zero cost analysis for 100 000 TPS bandwith, CPU and IO. Nano has done nothing to provide how it is feasible for Nano to reach 100 000 TPS within the next years. However, imagining it's possible, you yourself admitted that Amazon and large operators like them will take all the costs and burdens of operating the system. That's a clear and open single point of failure (SPOF) and is the very reason why people choose crypto currencies over banks and centralized payment systems. That Nano is not able to identify a clear and basic SPOF in their system is worrisome on multiple levels.

If it's cheaper than merchant processor fees then the cost savings will more than pay for any hardware costs. One of Nano's goals is to make running a Node as cheap as possible. ?

Also, why are you stuck on 100k TPS? the network has to have a need for 1000 TPS first. Nano devs are working on that and will get to scaling to 100k levels when they need to. The incentive structure is sound as it currently works as intended, and the network is trending toward more decentralization.

This is literally why NANO is worthless shitcoin and NANO supporters are low iq sheeple

With contracting, DLT can be applied for so many instances of nuanced communication of data that has real and massive impact on industries worldwide. Dominant enterprises in the largest markets in the world, the most influential governments- everyone is embracing blockchain in different capacity because the tech is legit and it's changing the way we interact with one another. We've already seen it beginning to take hold in industries like finance, supply chain management, insurance, video gaming, media, cloud computing, file storage, the list goes on. This doesn't even scratch the surface of the potential of DAOs.

Now imagine thinking none of this matters and instead throwing your weight behind a project whose sole purpose is a method for fast and feeless microtransactions.

Now imagine thinking that a coin whose only purpose is fast and feeles microtransactions will appreciate in value, even though the tokenomics are literally implicated in a manner that the coin isn't supposed to pump.

You're unironically better off dumping your neetbux in Bitcoin Cash... You dumbfucks should have been swept out through the bear winter

So if you actually use NANO (in a hypothetical world, we all know nobody is actually using this garbage) you send pennies worth for porn or fractions of pennies for whatever microtransaction. Sure you "can" make larger purchases if some merchant accepts it and you'd rather send your precious NANO than your worthless fiat (+1.5% cashback), but the emphasis is on microtransactions.

Yes, you *can* buy and hold NANO, but actual users only need to buy a couple bucks worth. The only way NANO goes up in value is because you buy and hold it, and you buy and hold it only because you expect others to do the same. The economics of NANO have no profit generating mechanism, betting on NANO is the same on betting on any other shitcoin.

Yeah, it's better than Bitcoin for microtransactions. So are 999 of the top 1000 projects on coinmarketcap (with the exception being Bitcoin). You might make money on NANO if you get lucky, rising tide and all, but why not bet on a project that has legitimate utility and tokenomics in place that encourage the price to appreciate?

>> No.14859677

Sorry, not circular but straw-man arguments. Nano doesn't need to scale directly to 100000 TPS at the expense of decentralization immediately, it can happen within the network organically using the current network structure.

>> No.14859895

>>14859399
"The network scalability is defined by the hardware capacity of the PRs so in the strictest sense, the amount of money PRs dedicate to their nodes will be the limiting factor of the network. Fortunately the node costs are low so there's a large amount of room for increase.
There are a couple things we're going to implement to lower the hardware requirements for non PR nodes specifically with 2 phase voting. With two phase voting, non-PR nodes don't need to listen to the negotiation votes and only final votes which reduces some traffic. We'll also add a way for nodes to not subscribe to votes at all and solicit the final votes periodically or if they've received a transaction." -Colin

You just made a straw man fallacy. I never said immediately. Again, if you want Nano to be global currency you need at least 100 000 TPS. There is no way in hell Nano can get 100 000 TPS within the next three years, or even five years.

You are so attached to Bitgrail and bulletpoints revolving around the toxic moonboy community and shitty devs making claims they cannot back up at all.
Using Nano vs Using anything else in this space to move funds around is night and day, this is what all payment coins should be.
User selected reps and DPoS seems to be working also there have been no on chain double spends.
The only reason I can think you are so autistically attached to shitting on Nano like this is you still have money in the Pot, even after getting fucked by BitGrail you still play this shitcoin and it just keep justing you day after day.

Delusional. It works only because no one is using the Nano network. If they did, it would crash. Your "free" hippie coin only works when there is no load on the system. What cost analysis have you as an investor and the Nano foundation done for 100 000 TPS or more. Nothing, right? That should tell potential investors everything they need to know about Nano.
