I learned the hard way. But after I started to network and associate with other investors and people into market trading I found out it's what you do. Some people once they double their original investment, they begin taking out. Waiting until its 20x is absolutely batshit crazy and really isnt smart in such a volatile market. Always take a little out, never just completely either win or lose if you dont have too. Paying yourself out on the highs gives you more money to buy on the actual dips and when you really should.

Putting all your eggs in one basket can work out, but when that basket gets too full, you need to take some eggs and eat. You buy on the dips, you sell on the highs. Idk if you come from money or not, but if you didnt, I could see why this would fuck up your psyche on a heavy degree. The ability to hold that much capital, more than the 50k you said you made a year waging, most people could never do. If you have money, I could see why this would make you lose the understanding of what capital and what holding a bag really means. You have to take gains sometimes, that is the only way to always win. Building your bag and having confidence in what you are holding allows you to do this and be rewarded. That is what is going on in the market right now. The whales were collecting gains. Many, if not most, are going to reinvest when the market is right and normal are stuck. Its methodical. These alts are being played right now to pick up sats. BTC is going back up. They are not done playing with that. I do believe BTC will be taken over eventually, but that is over 3 years down the road most likely. Invest wisely, I know you are probably in link, please, understand what I said about gains. It will be pumped and dumped, hopefully for you, it's probably not over completely. LINK is never going over $10. Possibly it will go to 5, but I seriously doubt it. But it will be pumped and dumped and most of the heavy bag holders do not exist here.

thankfully only minimally. I bout a small link suicide stack a while back, but it's a small hold for me. i also hold a couple other shitcoins in small amounts currently.
But yeah, I've never been poor but never been rich either (before that). It was just insane to me how much it could go up or down. I tried to not follow the market too closely, and just let my things ride. Was insane when January rolled around, and my holding were at a peak. I had my finger over the sell button, but holding since 7 it'd gone 200x what I put in. Another spike up of 50% or so and I could have retired permanently off of that (my true goal).
I didn't want to be richer, I wanted to be completely free of money forever, by never needing to worry about it ever again.

It's a bet I took, and a gamble I lost. Was still up hundreds of thousands, but not the million+ like where I was at.
