14822108 No.14822108 [Reply] [Original]

I have ties to the team, You anons kept me sane while it was a tough hold for 2 years.
I dont want anyone here to get burnt. don't lose faith in LINK.
The team are in some trouble with their obligations and ebts lately. I cant explain why they managed to rack up the debt, but its there and a big blockade to the future.
The string of news including the coinbase listing was no coincidence. Early PE investors wanted out and used their connections to make it happen faster(some didn't trust Sergeys ability to handle it as he lacks experience and is very ambitions and wont compromise, prioritizing certain things over debt), rather than watch the team struggle and get fucked by their debts. now the price is high enough to cash out enough for PE and progress can be made again by the team once debts paid.

It'll all be back on track soon.Sergey did not want to dump LINK down to the ground when it was under a dollar. Just hold. I think all the debts will be paid eventually. The bad timing with BTC crash makes it take way longer than it should

Well when I said prioritizing certain things over debt... It angered some of the big early investors helping the project move along. The Town Crier acquisition was one such expensive event(exhausted ICO funds).

Here’s a thought - there’s no PE shop with Chainlink on their books. I work at a PE firm. OP has no idea what a private equity firm does. They’re not venture capital or investment funds, they’re people that wholly buy businesses, run them, then sell them. Last time i checked, Chainlink isn’t owned by anyone but themselves. There are investment funds and VC firms out there that own Chainlink, but none of them have a seat on their board therefore have no pull in favor or against their investment.

Try harder next time OP, not everyone on here is a fucking autist.

We were finding pretty bad bugs in the code and it seemed like the entire thing was going to have to be redone. Origianlly they wanted to release the Staking and Reputation with mainnet, but obviously it was in a state so decisions had to be made. Thats where the choice to spend almost all the ICO money on Town Crier pissed off a lot of people. Last month was pretty much the end of that saga. They used their connections to get it pumping hard together, and even lsited on coinbase so they could exit easily too, directly to fiat.
Why do you think there is no BTC pairing?

>> No.14822374

>>14822296
I still don’t believe you. We have a VC arm and use the money to funnel money to our wholly owned PE investments. There’s no reason VC firms with a substantial investment in Chainlink don’t do the same. If they were in debt up to their eyeballs 1. They wouldn’t be hiring more people 2. They wouldn’t be traveling as much as they are this month and next and September for conferences they’d be paying down debt so they don’t become insolvent and 3. They would only owe interest. And making $9M a year in revenue results in easy interest payments on a maybe $10m acquisition. Literally $300-$400k a year in interest. Peanuts.

That is what these 700k transactions are. Paying off the debts while also raising funds to continue the operation. They were in a bad situation till this pump happened. the liquidity and price were much too low to liquidate LINK holdings to get funds back again. That is why there was a string of news which really didn't seem natural all at once, along with a coinbase pump that was the only time a coin pumped on listing.

Also want to add that Sergey was pretty afraid that doing this was going toget him in legal trouble for insider trading, but the situation was what it was.
Thats why it all came out of nowhere. The reason he waited to start dumping LINK holdings after it retraced from $5 to 3$ is becase he didnt want to seem like he was cashing out of the top of an organized pump, and get in trouble legally later on... He really thought this all through

It's fine in the long term, but if you keep seeing these 700K transactions, that is more or less what they are for. They exhausted ICO funds in less than 2 years, so they will need a substantial amount of fiat.

So ... what are you gonna do? *Sergey has 650,000,000.00 Tokens at his disposal. Ultimately, the PRICE is determined by his actions in the market. Do not ever forget this.
