To make it as a tradesman you need to join a union and work up from an apprentice to a journeyman when you start making the fat stacks. But that's 5 years from the start.

This is for RVs not the wage of a journeyman electrician. Residential/commercial isn't much better. With the trades its industrial or bust which is union territory. That's where the money is. Regardless trades aren't some secret financial weapon. You will never be wealthy on a salary or hourly until you actually have ownership in a company.

Ohm look, another cherry picked "worst case scenario" to rationalize not getting a job. If you don't want to work, then don't, and shut the fuck up already, nobody cares.

That job is geared towards young dudes looking for experience. That job can lead to better ones down the road - the RV shit can be translated into different fields alone.

Nobody is going to hand you money, for nothing. If you want to make more money, get some training, eat shit for a couple of years. Like everyone else, you're not a special fucking snowflake. Working sucks. WE GET IT. But you do it, or you don't. Choose, and shut the fuck up already.

Riverside. $15 an hour there, you can afford a one bedroom apartment. Even cheaper if you have a roomate, 2 bdrms go for around 1400 there. $700 a month on $15 is very livable. You won't get rich, but only a legit retard expects to get rich installing electric lifts for wheelchairs in vans.

I tell every 30yo boomer loser like me to get a trade. Work until they can afford a studio apartment, keep the lights on, car fueled, and eat at chipotle without feeling guilty. Then save your excess into getting your own business off the ground. Waiting for the crypto moon while not hustling is a BAD idea.

I know, and I get that most of /biz these days are NEETs who refuse to work, because they think they're above that, because mommy said they were the smartest, most special little prince ever. Or they're poos.

My family has a mix of professionals and tradesmen. My cousin married a dude literally digging ditches on a crew, and now is a multi-millionaire doing commercial construction. A cousin ate shit for years wiring fuse boxes in homes, now works for the city and the union and draws a hell of a paycheck, and will get a fat pension (if the state doesn't go broke). Another sells interest rates in NYC and does well. Another sells chemicals and made regional sales director and lives in a fucking mansion. All of them, every single one, hated working on the way up. Until it started to suck less, and the pay got better.

But 90% of /biz is "I DON WANNA GET A JOB" from manchildren who think they were promised a lambo pony.

And? They don't want some fumblefingers fucking around in a van's electrical harness, without a couple of years working on cars. I would guarantee if you told them you've been working on cars for years, and can show them you can read a wiring diagram and can show you know what wires are what, and how to add connections to a fuse panel, you're golden. A lot of companies put requirements in the ads to scare off the flakes. Everywhere I've ever worked "x years experience' means "On the job, or the equivalent". Some kid who's been wrenching on cars, tapping into the wiring to add Fast And Furious LEDs and sub boxes and stereos? Qualifies.

Maybe if you stopped looking for reasons NOT to apply, you might get somewhere.

As opposed to...what? Not surviving because my fake internet coins got dunked again by some Chinese whales?

I didn't invent the system, but I like buying food, having a clean, safe home, a car, and cash to buy things like the computer I'm typing on. I'm an adult, my parents are dead, so I couldn't NEET it even if I wanted to, and I like what I do for a living. I had hard years, but I kept at "wage slaving" as you so adorably put it, and I'm doing just fine. I owe my monthly bills, because I pay my credit cards off every month, no car payment, no college debt. I have more in traditional investments than the entire value of your whole life.

But keep telling me how I'm doing it wrong. It's amusing.
