If a girl is planning to file for Chapter 7. Had a series of unfortunate events. How can someone maximize immediate money and avoid fraud? How to get credit cards etc?

>avoid fraud?
you're dangerously close to committing it right here.

you can maximize cash by immediately hiring a lawyer and asking them which bills you should stop paying.

By theoretically asking questions? Good thing were anonymous on this website.

Start with google einstein

You cant just stackup 50k in credit debt and file bankruptcy , they go through your finances before allowing it

there's nothing wrong with asking questions unless you then act on them and people know of your questions.

you're not anonymous here. I don't know who you are but that doesn't mean nobody does.

If the trustee feels you've run up debt for the purpose of defaulting on it they can force you to pay that debt, deny your bankruptcy, or even recommend criminal charges against you.

not that it matters, there's nothing you can do to run up that kind of debt in most cases. If you're thinking about bk your credit is already shot.

Google basically gave the- reasons why you shouldn't and didnt yield secret inside info how to make the most use out of it. Lets add the theoretical scenario of said female having terrible credit. What do than? What credit cards, etc. ?

>> No.1480648

>>1480584
there is no secret info.

if you can't get credit you won't be buying anything with other people's money.

if somehow you do manage it the bankruptcy court will reverse the transaction.

the closest thing to a secret is if you buy a car on credit and they try to repossess it and you hide it until the bk is done you can usually keep the car. But it has to be your only car and you might still wind up having to pay for it.

also you can keep a house if you bought it at least one year before the bk and you don't own more than $45k or so of it. But still you will have to pay for it.

There are certain protections in the law that prevent you from abusing bankruptcy. If you get past those protections, the court will allow you to keep certain property (car, house, frying pan, etc.). After bankruptcy credit card companies will immediately swarm you to get you back into debt since you can't declare bankruptcy for many years.

Thanks. Unfortunately lets add the scenario there is no house, car is destroyed, and rent is coming up.

doesn't do 'her' much good.

landlords can evict a bitch far faster than 'she' can declare bankruptcy.

>> No.1480693

Utility bills - that's it basically. She can stop paying them, write it off and continue to get service after the bankruptcy is discharged.

They're not stupid, people try to commit bankruptcy fraud every day. Any new debt or asset purchases/sales are gone through with a fine tooth comb. If there's a paper trail, they'll find it.

The most likely scenario for general stupid behavior before a bankruptcy is they simply dismiss her case and she's on the hook for everything. Unless of course said female outright lies about something, especially under oath, then she's in fraud territory.

A financial advisor recommended maxing your credit cards ASAP.

>> No.1480768

>>1480756
assuming they aren't already maxed...

but yeah, don't buy any big ticket items like furniture, electronics, appliances, expensive toys or jewelry, etc.

that kind of stuff the credit card company may be able to go to court and take back, particularly if you bought it less than a year before the bk filing.

>> No.1480829

If it's food and general expenses to survive within reason, maybe. Even that is risking having the case thrown out if she continued to use credit up until filing.

Keep in mind all of her expenses will have to be explained before the trustee overseeing her case, in person and under oath. Very detailed questions pertaining to her case specifically. The kind she can't bullshit her way out of with 4chan logic.

Is it really worth it Jamal?

Lets use that example, just food or something then waiting, say, 3 months before filing. It would be temporary. So I guess wear figuring out a temporary scenario.
