He can't ban crypto any more than he can ban religion, air, or language. Monero is truly a garbage shitcoin.
Meant for privacy but its not private. Meant for decentralization but it's not decentralized. Meant to be worth something but it's not worth anything. Everything it does bitcoin can do better, which is actually quite embarrassing because objectively speaking bitcoin sucks ass when you remove the historical significance of being the first.

since mining is more egalitarian i would say it actually has the potential to become more decentralized than bitcoin

Alright I'm with you.
>Monero is truly a garbage shitcoin.
Wait, what?
>Meant for privacy but its not private.
Privacy is a spectrum and Monero is the most private while making the least amount of critical compromises compared to any other crypto at the moment.
>Meant for decentralization but it's not decentralized.
It's about as decentralized as any cryptocurrency project can be but ultimately it does have core developers that carry a lot of weight. It's completely open source and anyone can participate in its development which is why it has something like 300 contributors to the code at this point.
>Meant to be worth something but it's not worth anything.
This is... obviously false.
>Everything it does bitcoin can do better
Negro please. Monero is fungible by default and scales better than bitcoin AT THE PROTOCOL LEVEL due to its adaptive blocksize. Yes, Ring Signatures and RingCT specifically bloat the size of the blockchain as Monero gets used, but at least Monero will never have endless retarded blocksize scaling debates for FUCKING YEARS like Bitcoin has had to suffer through resulting in serial larpers like Roger and Craig creating garbage forks.

If XMR is locked out of the exchanges, it means that any money the black markets put into XMR will stay in XMR. The black markets will still be using XMR and putting money into it every day. They will have an incentive to use XMR for more than just illegal goods and services because they can't cash out. The black markets are 20% of the global economy, so do not underestimate the impact of that money flowing into XMR and being locked in.

Firstly, dnm still use BTC for majority of purchases.
Secondly, that's the dumbest argument I've heard all week. It's so far from reality it's not funny. Just because someone wants there bags of untradeable xmr to be worth something doesn't mean anyone is going to exchange them drugs for it.

Also I think youre extremely overestimating moneros role in the black market economy, which is almost exclusively done in USD

Monero is not untraceable. See link: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/324863990_An_Empirical_Analysis_of_Traceability_in_the_Monero_Blockchain

Say you send your doxxed coins into a temp fake wallet to break the public ledger. You then wash those coins by tumbling them through multiple privacy coins using multiple exchanges. However this assumes these exchanges wont ever forfeit their logs. It would only be a matter of time to fingerprint you. Plus you're going to have to transfer it back into fiat at some point. Also, they monitor the public ledgers in real-time for micro-structured transactions designed to evade record keeping. Instead of making it illegal they will more than likely just revise the blockchain protocol to limit transactions to KYC–verified wallets so that it would be more trivial to trace back to an identifiable wallet.

That research paper is ancient and has been debunked. Like above said, they make some critical assumptions about traceability that aren't an even an issue anymore now that there aren't any 0-mixin transactions permitted. The other shit you mentioned highlights issues with the rest of the centralized system, not Monero itself. Sage yourself retard.

Nobody needs fucking permission from a nation state to make transactions in a way two people agree to

>wont be able to cash out

It's meant to be used as a fucking currency so make decentralized services and spread memes to everywhere so you can do something good for the world rather than go with the status quo just so you can make money

Never underestimate the power of collective thought. There will be a new generation of peoples who do not identify with the general rule of law of the nation states with a monopoly violence and monetary policy. With a global anonymous currency we can truly become free people.
