i used to just drink 7-8 gallons of chocolate whole milk a week, but i started gaining weight doing that after highschool, so swapped out some chocolate for regular whole

Theres a bunch of other factors other than the underlying stocks price that go into the pricing of the contract. You've got interest rates since there's interest calculated on the strike price over time, you've got the duration of the contract since if it's a longer duration there's going to be more premium to pay, and you've got implied volatility, since if there's a high implied volatility the demand for options will be higher, since they're a great way to hedge, so the option contracts will cost more too.

My what?? Aura colors and stuff are new-age BS made up by bad people in the 60s to sever the Western world from an authentic understanding of spiritual tradition. I more or less feel the same way about tarot divination, the point isn't to predict the future like some hollywood gypsy, it's to study the cyclical monomyth of human history (a la Finnegan's Wake) juxtaposed against the primal narrative archetypes which underpin all phenomenological thought. Western Esotericism is the Art of Kings, a timeless blend of philosophy, art, science, and psychology that makes all things clear (hilariously, through obscurantizing them).

I poked around at the S&P's monthly chart since '08 crash this evening. Nothing especially clear for short term direction to see here. I marked each of the three times the series of new highs has leveled off somewhat over the course of about a year-ish. Pic related is in log scale.

A. 2011-2012. Minor drop off from the yellow upper trend line but no retest of the bottom line. Bullish continuation from there until 2015.

B. Bumped up against resistance at $2140 several times before breaking short term bearish and dropping to a low of $1810.

C. Three nominally higher highs at ~2870, 2940, and (as of yesterday's close) 3003. If this yellow short term trend line remains valid, it indicates a push to 3020 followed by some kind of sell off down to somewhere in the area of 2600-2800 or roughly thereabouts.

The point of this exercise is mainly for me to plot out how I want to proceed with the short position I took on the S&P just before close yesterday and where to put my stop loss. Depending on volume, I may increase the size of my short at 3020 with a stop just a hair above that.

Does anyone keep a calendar of important events to keep track of for the markets? Things like fed meetings, jobs Friday, quadwitching day, etc.?

Well here’s a couple I would add to mine:
>Robert Mueller is scheduled to appear before two House committees on July 27th
This is when I would expect Trump to launch the next volley in the Trade Warz
Possibly something against German automakers? I don’t know, but it could be a good day to be short, considering what’s he did last time Mueller testified. (Announced Mexico tariffs, but could be coincidence...)
>next round of democratic primary debates: July 30 and 31
So many things could be effected by this. Private prisons, guns, big tech, big finance, tobacco, healthcare... some of my very favorite sectors. Oddly enough, I don’t expect cannabis to be brought up.

Oh, and it could really be Yang’s time to shine, with all the talk of automation lately. In LA, they’ve announced plans to add more automation to the ports, and dock workers are throwing a fit. Too bad Yang doesn’t actually seem to want to be president.

Sounds really interesting actually, I wonder how much I’d get out of it if I haven’t read Ulysses. Or anything of Joyce’s and probably none of his contemporaries.

It was kind of nice when I had to read these for school, so when I misunderstood something, like forgetting that “mean” as an adjective has changed meaning over the past centuries, I can get corrected and steered back on the path.

Wish I’d have read more back then, instead of getting halfway through the Iliad before finals, and never finishing. The odyssey too, actually.

Not sure what you’re talking about regarding what’s coming down the pipe for MO. If it’s about what these other anons were saying about something big for weed stocks... I think they were just shilling.

Ulysses isn't strictly necessary, but it's a lot easier (only hard as FUCK instead of nearly impossible) and helps you get adjusted to Joyce's mystic dream writing style. The Penelope episode is really similar to a lot of stuff in the Wake. I freely admit I understand less than 10% of Ulysses despite having read it twice and I doubt I'll ever understand more than 1% of Wakey Wakey though so what do I know.
Didn't mean for MO lol, I'm just bullish in general for it. It seems to me there's a lot of critical stuff happening at the end of July, BA, CAT, T, GOOG, INTC earnings finna be real important alongside all this macro shit

>Da Jesus Book -> you will discover an modern American's conception of Christianity
>Book of Mormon: Mormonism was founded in America and is kind of influential, for example lots of Mormons are in the secret service
>The Hate U Give, Black Panther, Hamilton: fake black culture/politics/ideas/narratives produced/funded by rich scheming Jews and guilt-ridden Anglos
>Seinfeld: just watch it, its quintessential American humor, everyone knows references to Sienfeld even zoomed
>Fault in Our stars: connected to the Anglo/Jew invented white guilt culture, people who are into that are also really into books like that
>cuckold book: also connected to white guilt/fethishization of fake black culture
>Trump's art of the deal: a book about how to be successful in business/networking (that many right wing people bought around the 2016 election)
>7 habits + how to win friends: books that Americans think lead to success in friendship, mostly for the purpose of business and networking
>Scientology: the actualization of the philosophy of the previous 3 books listed
>Siege: read by Trump voters who fell down the alt right rabbi hole and realized how fucked they are as a lower middle to lower class white person in 2019 and probably started (or already) use meth, opioids, alchohol, or other drugs (but probably not cocaine).
