The only unique value proposition of ethereum is ether as gas for smart contracts, including the erc20's on it too of course.
Businesses buying it will just pay as they use. Like actual (petroleum) gas.

Post ico boom, there is nothing logical that would cause the price of ether to be any higher than a utility like gasoline.
Do you stockpile gasoline in case the price goes up?

Sell your ETH

>> No.14721760

Also think about all the ico scam teams waiting to dump even more eth

Every price rise will face leagues of bagholders and whale icos dumping for the smallest amounts of profit

also dapp's can migrate to any platform that's compatible for example RSK (a merged mined layer of bitcoin)

ETH is basically comped at this point the ICO scammers and premined tokens will continue to dump and/or completely control the network in PoS

Parabolic moves have sharp retrace.

Hold BTC for now but get ready to jump back to ETH if it shows any sign of pump.

tokenomics
entrust your money in some obscure alt token to preform a specific task
have it write data to a bloatchain that only a handful of people can confirm
wow so revolutionary kek

RSK is only federated until some update and then it will be merge mined, it has like 30x more hashing power than bcash and is pretty revolutionary when thinking about how miners will secure the chain as block rewards are halved
you're probably mistaking it with liquid or something else

That does not seem to be the case for the bitcoin insertion mechanism. Trustless interoperability doesn't exist.

a multisig built on a protocol is trustless, look at the lightning network

>> No.14722504

>>14722389
You're not wrong but I can't find where it's listed that this change will occur. The docs mention the merged mining in regards to security, not the trustlessness of minting RBTC. I want to clarify that trustlessness would imply the federation not being involved at all, and that the 15 orgs, even colluding together, couldn't touch any of the frozen BTC that represent RBTC.

IF that is the case, I has potential to be very good.

it has potential to be very good*

The smart contracts appear to be written in solidity so that's a great advantage, already an established language with many programmers using it

That's a fair assessment I haven't found out the details either
it is a risk if it is all in the hands of a federation, especially if a Dapp disrupts large corporation or business that can influence the federation members

No fucking coin out there has any reason to be valued at anything other than what bullshit the market comes up with.

Let me guess, you believe the BTC meme? Locked supply, scarcity yadayada.

ETH is will have less issuance than BTC from 2020 on, the supply shock will be (and is already) massive yet none of you noobs see this.
Buy the fucking bottom, hold for 2 years and you'll have a guaranteed 1000%.

I don't know how people can still defend holding ETH over Bitcoin.
