Short selling seems like a great way to get started without much capital, but I know ita a great way to lose your ass if you choose poorly. What is /biz/'s advice on finding stocks and options that are safe to short?

I tried to do it with BTC. Sold at 10k expecting it to drop further and now we're at 13k.

you can actually never lose your ass by selling high and buying low, the problem is that the vast majority of people turn into greedy FOMO-tards and buy high/sell low

I get that, I'm just curious, what should I look for to know that something is actually going low?
