Tether is literally irrelevant in case of global crash. Everyone believes 1 Tether = 1 USD. Of course it's not fully accounted for.
But guess what, if economy crashes, so does USD.
And guess what will people believe then? That still one tether equals one USD. And one USD now, relatively, will be worthless. Therefore BTC/Tether value will increase. It's literally this simple.
