I run some successful websites, I could 5x my income if I released an app. How does one quickly develop/release an app that connects to my existing mysql db? Can I just buy some pre-existing app somewhere and tweak it. I just need login and can drop apks in that are being supplied to me.

Thanks anon. I've got a white paper, a proof-of-concept properly designed, I'm building a placeholder website for it, I was thinking about going on angellist or something but I don't want to release my idea out in the open yet... it would be very easy for an incumbent to do.

Tiny budget means you have these options:
- Write the app yourself.
- Partner with someone else who can write the app.
- Seek an investor to fund the development of the app via a consultancy.

Which you choice depends on what and who you know. If you know a lot about software development, then write it yourself. However, given your question, I assume you do not know how to write the app. This is a long and difficult process. Depending on what the app needs to do, this could take years. Creating an app is nearly free. However the cost of an app is higher than most people would think. An app could cost any amount of money depending on what it needs to do. $10k to $10M+. If you know a software developer, ask them if they want to partner. If you know someone with a lot of money, ask if they want to invest.
