what incentive will miners have once the rewards are gone? at that point the whole network will depend on people willing to pay all those high fees. what's to say some other coin like EOS that doesn't have those problems will flip it?

I value privacy.

Crypto does have things which try to address this, such as:
- Privacy coins
- Decentralized Exchanges
- Atomic swaps

But how many of those decentralized exchanges can I trust, or how many web/cloud based wallets can I trust? That's the biggest issue Crypto has, in my view. Decentralization and records which are hard to modify are good, but it's anonymity that I really value.
