This isn't just another currency or "new" blockchain coin, it's the fucking gateway to all of crypto, LITERALLY. You think a $1 billion marketcap is justified? that's an oxymoron. Decentralizing oracles is pretty much considered impossible in computer science. You have to think about it for a minute.
Chainlink is far from complete decentralization and this is why google talks in their post about the possibility of building a HYBRID system with chainlink. Now understand that there are many other projects building oracles and that it is not groundbreaking technology. Perhaps chainlink has a very elegant solution, perhaps there already are much simpler solution outthere, and one by default on eth 2.0 It's the hype that made your coin go up, it's the hype that made every other coin go up, and trust me that I took the very obvious opportunity to make nice gains.

I’m obviously smart enough to know the upperbound is $1 trillion as no other company on the face of the plant has achieved such a valuation. In the crypto market Chainlink obviously can’t be worth more then Bitcoin as it has the most adoption and brand recognition.
