Chainlink has been the first time in history Reddit and women made money on an altcoin.

Probably the biggest sell signal you will see in crypto, ever.

I don't know man... thing is, coinbase never had issues with that shit and they usually don't touch their customers coins unlike binance. They keep everything cold. And I just have my 25k LINK on a piece of paper in my drawer... should I unironically just send them my LINK?

coinbase is pretty safe, I have no plans to move my link anywhere any time soon. The plan would be when it comes time to sell, sell into USDcoin or other stable coin and withdraw to bank in increments to avoid any issue.

I bit the bullet and transferred most of my stack to coinbase. In my country, I only have to pay taxes on crypto to fiat transactions, which makes it easy to keep it there/when cashing out. Furthermore it's insured and I sort of trust them more than I trust myself not to mess up my keys/itsec. I keep a small suicide stack in cold storage just for peace of mind

Withdrew in late 2017. No problems, but it did take many days before the money was on my bank account, but probably because it was an international transfer.
Took screenshots of the withdraw etc, just to be extra safe

Call them beforehand to let them know a certain amount will be deposited. It will save you from getting your account frozen in extreme cases. They’re required to monitor strange behavior, and a huge amount of cash coming in from an unrelated account is just that. They’ll legally have to send some documents your way and you’ll have to prove where the money came from.

Dude, same. I trust coinbase more than binance, and I don’t have faith in my ability to not fuck up storing it myself. I’m hedging with some on binance, some in mew, but most on coinbase.

The other huge plus is, supposed link goes truly insane and reaches my sell range of 25-60$. I can cash out on coinbase to actual cash. On binance there’s only tether, and I have no faith in that shit. Imagine being a millionaire from link, then cashing out to tether, and then tether collapses. That would be the Just’ing beyond all justing

>> No.14534545

the boring but inescapable answer is that the only safe way to store your coins, is in cold storage under your control. i've lost thousands to exchanges, and i'm one of many. it keeps happening, and the refunds won't last forever.

further to this... it's so easy to just store the damn things yourself. no reason to take the risk of storing on an exchange. my preferred method takes 2 mins and is safe as almighty fuck.

>airlocked laptop, never been online, just operating system installed, no internet connection whatsoever
>download paper wallet from coin's site
>malware check
>transfer via usb to airlocked laptop
>use paper wallet creator, save public key and private key
>back up on 5 USB sticks
>shred files on hard drive
>copy public key to pc with net connection

100% cold storage, no fucker is getting to them. literally all you need is the public key and private key. you can use the private key to sweep the funds of your wallet in the coin's software/online wallerts.
just be positive there's absolutely no malware on your key generators and nothing can go wrong. safer than hardware storage devices, because they get plugged into computers with live net connections.

I didn't know this was structuring or what that even is, but I thought the initial transfer from Link to USDT would be the taxable event, no different than if I had straight sold to USD fiat. Is this wrong? The sale would all be within one tax year, I am not trying to avoid tax brackets or anything.

do you have any idea how much money it would require for them to be worth that much? this isn't bitcoin with only 21mil coins, that bitch has 350,000,000 now, one day to be 1,000,000,000. all money gets shared between that lot, so you're talking a 1 trillion dollar market cap. which is more than 3 times as much as is invested in literally every cryptocurrency in existence, including bitcoin.
you've been brainwashed by the cult. leave the fanboy delusions outside, and start thinking about how to actually maximise profits. sell at $5 asap or forever be butthurt. 1k is not ever going to happen. 100 will never happen, neither will 10.

It’s only structuring if you can’t prove where the money comes from, Coinbase is a pretty safe medium that shows the bank “hey this guy bought these funds from here” since coin base is connected to your bank account you should have bank records of your Coinbase purchases( I have almost a hundred verifiable purchases from the bank). It’s a slightly more grey area if you purchased a mix of crypto via Coinbase your bank account and paper cash via coin flip BTC ATM’s. I’m a little worried about that aspect as I’ve been using both avenues. Chain link listed on normiebase is unironically a game changer.

>> No.14537022

>>14536954
Piggybacking on this as long as you call ahead to your bank before a large deposit from Coinbase, pay your taxes and don’t flaunt your wealth in normies faces like a retarded nigger rapper (hint this will cause jealous haters to report you to the IRS), the ZOG really isn’t gonna dig deep into your financials unless we are talking 10 million+. Sure they can monitor everyone’s shit but they certainly don’t, it’s mostly a fear tactic so they don’t have to be as thorough policing everyone if they have the goyim believing there’s a microscope up all of their financial asses for even a tiny discrepancy.
