Lets just say I hold ETH and I made a satoshi profit. Now I want to exit my ETH position and buy an alt-coin that has a BTC and ETH pair.

To "cash out" my satoshi profit am I supposed to convert my ETH to BTC and then buy the alt-coin?

If I just use the ETH pairing then wouldnt I lose my satoshi profit?

depends on the ratio of btc/xshitcoin and eth/xshitcoin. If you are using a large exchange with good liquidity, both ratios should be very close to equal. You can check on coinmarketcap, the price of xshitcoin in usd$ to see the the difference of value by paires.

It confuses me more than anything. My first thought was to wonder if doing it like this was somehow better, maybe you hit muscles differently while doing it like this, but it just makes it seem like you're more prone to injury. Realistically I'd just want to get to the bottom of what she's doing and why she's doing it. If it turned out to be an attention thing, that would be disappointing and I'd probably pity her. If it is a legit exercise tweak, I'd be suspect and probably do my own research and test it out on my own. If it was legit, she'd earn some respect.
