Skycoin's Coin hours (equivalent to NEO's GAS) will have an IEO at the end of July on LBank's exchange.
Binance owns billions of those Coin Hours, and they are likely to follow during summer.
Meanwhile, full games are going to run in their own Fiber chain, as proof of concept for both CX capabilities and Coin Hours as payment method.
A sub $30 hardware wallet is in testing phase. A Coin Hours bank platform for transferring p2p is almost ready. There will be also a big demo of IoT with mini robots and on chain programs. And there is one more thing.
Soon there will be the first full Skywire deployment, antennas included, in NYC, with mass media ads already paid for. And the plan is to make it viral, politically viral. So yeah, remember this post, do the needful, etc.

When is it going to have a consensus algo? How heavy are your bags?

>> No.14501307

>>14501279
First you have mainnet running, then you can use those nodes for consensus.
The average buy of my bags is under $1, so quite comfy, thanks for asking.

>>14501279

From what I've read they don't need a consensus algo right now because Skywire and CX work fine without it and it's all been running successfully on a masternode system for years. I think the plan is to launch the new consensus algo in peak bull market for added hype. Apparently it's pretty much ready and just waiting for the right time to launch, which will probably be after they get the NYC meshnet up and running.

another skycoin thread.
for redditors that just came: SKY is a project that makes sense only on a very shallow level. Tries to dazzle you with utterly pointless flashy things like antennas and hardware while having fundamental architecture completely broken - look into the consensus algorithm works there ( it doesn't, the whiole thing is a server application )

Is this supposed to be fud? Or are you just letting off steam?

Like I mentioned above, they don't need a consensus algo right now because Skywire and CX work fine without it and it's all been running successfully on a masternode system for years. Milk-truck chan is waifu, but...

I checked their site and their consensus algo has a ton of big claims (magically solves every problem inherent in DLT) with literally NOTHING about how it works, the decisions made, or why they think they can make those claims. Why you shilling a project that claims to be 6-years in the making without saying a single word about how their most fundamental baseline claim actually works?

I smell shitcoin from a mile away.

I read the consensus algorithm paper, thanks for the link. Here's my FUD:

Page 4: "Another class of algorithms, that we also rejected, involve electing a leader node." .. "See Section 0.3.7 [page 5] for detail."

Page 5: "Implementing the Algorithm requires to designate some nodes as block-makers. [Leaders.]"
