From what I've read they don't need a consensus algo right now because Skywire and CX work fine without it and it's all been running successfully on a masternode system for years. I think the plan is to launch the new consensus algo in peak bull market for added hype. Apparently it's pretty much ready and just waiting for the right time to launch, which will probably be after they get the NYC meshnet up and running.

for redditors that just came: SKY is a project that makes sense only on a very shallow level. Tries to dazzle you with utterly pointless flashy things like antennas and hardware while having fundamental architecture completely broken - look into the consensus algorithm works there ( it doesn't, the whiole thing is a server application )

I checked their site and their consensus algo has a ton of big claims (magically solves every problem inherent in DLT) with literally NOTHING about how it works, the decisions made, or why they think they can make those claims. Why you shilling a project that claims to be 6-years in the making without saying a single word about how their most fundamental baseline claim actually works?
