Well "making it" is subjective. 1Million will not cover eating lobster every other night and buying lambos but it will let you escape the wagie cycle for the rest of your life just with simple math. If you were to retire at 25 and live out the rest of your life on that money(assuming you live to 100), That's 75 years. 950K/75=$12666 every year.$12666/12=$1000 every month.
