Otherwise stocks are valued based on future cashflow which when not be paid out as dividends are re-invested in the company but it is expected that all companies will eventually pay out profits as dividends (when re-investment of all profit is no longer necessary). Remember sharegholders are owners of the company

Take a look at Apple which did not pay dividends all the way from 1995 until 2012.

My point is how many alt coins actually have a profit making business behind them that shares its profits with the "shareholders" (Only difference is COS does not provide ownership or voting rights)
