Threadly reminder that if you don't smelt your metals yourself and separate gold into pure gold or silver into pure silver you are literally just trusting someone else (buying a pig in a sack).

Proper procedure is buy a little -> smelt -> verify -> buy a little more -> smelt verify -> repeat. Regardless of how many verifies you've done yourself you should still never buy more than "a little" because it's when you start buying larger amounts they are more likely to rip you off.

What a heretick kek. If those 30 pieces of silver were 1 Troy ounce each, he would have made out with about $450 at current prices. Ask yourself, how much can $450 buy you? Not much. However, the nonbelieving Jews were ready to pay 30 pieces of silver to have a man that was disrupting their whole way of life be killed. How much do you think those 30 pieces really were in value in those days? I bet that judas made off like a bandit in that deal. Too bad for him he will be cast in the lake of fire alive.

Sure, now. But this was pre-stonk market. Imagine investing $450 in the American stock market at its inception, and then holding til now.

Even if he kept 80% in precious metals because he was too stupid to diversify, he could’ve made some real ace investments as long as he didn’t invest too much in Europe or Africa.

Boomers. Don’t. Invest.

This meme needs to die.

Boomers are the reason the national debt it soaring, and their voting power makes any cuts to their social security and Medicare politically untenable.

Boomers don’t save, and they don’t invest. They steal from their children and their children’s children. They are a scourge on the nation.

Yes i am actually. I know a fellow who works at a private mine. The owner has cancer and is getting out of whack and was planning to sell his land before he dies. The fucked up part of it is that his employees are too stupid to understand that they are literally sitting in a pile of money but would rather milk him for the fiat instead of finding out a way to take over that land. Fucking idiots.
