Guys, what do you think of my plan:

- Sell all altcoin and acquire 1 BTC. Trade this BTC on 2x leverage all year long on Bitmex.

Bitcoin shouldn't go down more than 50%, but just to be safe I will only do 2x leverage. I would be reaping some nice gains. Probably I will never make it, certainly not in this run, but if BTC hits 100k I could afford half a house.

better yet, buy 20 x 30k strike december call options on deribit fot 1 btc. If we moon to 50k EOY, you'll be making 20k x 20 = 400k profit, settled in btc

this. bitmex is so incredibly manipulated that losing all of your money is just a built in feature on the platform.

RIP OP

just trade the futures. why trade the swap?

anyway, your strategy is not completely retarded. i've traded futures on bitmex for two years and never been liquidated. use cross leverage and trade positions that are quite small, ie. don't be more than, say, 1.5x leveraged on cross

the price can go down more than 50%.

also there are other risks, such as bitmex theft or it getting shut down

>> No.14327540

yes, brilliant idea! You'll end up liquidated from funding lmao retard. Go ahead, open a position now and see how much you have to scrap from your position after a week to close it.

people said the same when I bought my calls at $3800
go and put your money where your mouth is if you're so sure and sell those call options

its utterly retarded risk/reward shorting 30k dec options. theres nothing to gain.

btw the spreads on deribit options were way too high the last time i checked

i was talking specifically about 30k calls, you fucking retard. if you think going either long or short those is a good idea, go fucking do it.

anyway there's no volume on them, so good luck

>> No.14327752

Guys, 2x leverage on bitmex is fuck all. Funding is maybe 0.1% every 8 hours, so 0.3% a day, 2.1% a week or 6.5% a month. Hefty sum but the bull market will cover that

bad RR for one side of the bet means good RR for the other side you mong. just admit that you have no clue what you're talking about.
also, there's enough volume for your dust, especially if you'd be selling the calls

>> No.14327767

Just hold the 1 BTC and retire from that, almost no one actually holds BTC, just retire after the next run.
