>ahhhhhhhhhh why the fuck is she randomly tweeting about 2018 kaleido article specifically baiting with 'curious about chainlink'

Agree that this is the real question. Article is from like 7 months ago and really only mentions chainlink once. Why is she tweeting about this today.

Here’s my theory. For past 12-24 months, the big cloud software providers have been pitching blockchain as a service and have gotten SOME, but not mind blowing traction. But of course, big problem they keep coming up against is that the big enterprises say, “sure, fuck it, let’s do a poc. Let’s ship I don’t know a bunch of almonds ‘on the blockchain’”. Ok, great, it sort of works but everybody very quickly realizes, how the fuck are we going to get real data into this blockchain. Maybe they already knew that was going to be a problem but in any case these “proof on concept” projects bring this into sharp relief. Note that another problem is blockchain is a PLATFORM thing, so you need to get your other partners willing to sign up. They have the same questions about data.

So folks are interested in the chainlink project as a solution to this and following it closely. Chainlink putting Mainnet live on ethereum is less than they were hoping for but still a pretty bfd.

So now, each of these big software houses wants to signal that they are hip to chainlink but don’t want to make a huge announcement. So they are each putting a toe in the water by having a realatively junior person put out a blog post (e.g. google) or retweet a blog post (e.g. this one from amazon) or give a presentation (e.g. oracle).

Yeah, I honestly don’t know how much autonomy these folks at places like Google and Amazon have when it comes to blog posts and stuff like that.

I remember reading about this a million years ago, like in the 90s when blogs were first getting going, Microsoft decided to open things up and just let their devs blog about stuff, in particular challenges they were facing. Apparently it was kind of successful in counteracting the “death star” image — hey these MS folks are just like me and workign hard to solve touch technical problems.

Anyway, I don’t know about that google post or this Amazon one today. Yeah, sure she says “opinions my own” but I kind of doubt she is, without any kind of approval process, tweeting specifically about this project on a whim.

But who knows, maybe these are just kind of random, low level folks who are tweeting and blogging about something interesting to them.

In any case, it’s cool to see folks at the bigggest companies interested in, and talkinga bout chainlink.

Yes, Why do people invest in crypto in the first place? Well firstly because other people do and they know they can make a profit and secondly because it has functionality. When bitcoin went on the news it literally went from 100-300 to 1000+ and it's never went under that again. So essentially in the next 5 years chainlink will be mainstream and the people who have 1-2K stacks will even make it.
