Quite a lot of my "friends" know I am, or was (I still am) in crypto, obviously mentioned it to a bunch of people over the years. I got in during 2013 and have tried to help some people onboard during opportune times.

You have to judge your audience, some people just aren't receptive to it, in fact most people. When you're "trained", seeing crazy low prices like we had in January, and being aware enough to sense that things are looking good in terms of fundamentals/sentiment, is an obvious buy signal and we would pile in everything we had.

But normans, or inexperienced investors, see prices low as a bad thing. That's why there can be market cycles in the first place. You won't be able to persuade anyone who can't see it, even someone who really trusts you, the emotional aversion to buying a bottomed-out asset is very, very strong, just like the compulsion to buy one that's mooning hard as fuck.

When BTC is in 6 figures, people will be asking how the fuck they can buy some again. When it was at $3k they don't want to know or say you're an idiot.

Don't be tempted to rub it in, though, afterwards. They will resent you and you'll be even more isolated and shunned.

If you want to get people involved ask them once, only once, and don't push it. Let them come to you if they want it. It's frustrating seeing close friends and family with large cash savings, eroding away with inflation, but there's nothing you can do and people actually become more resistant if you push an idea on them.

Ive gotten really good at onboarding my normie coworkers. The trick is to show them you gains. If all you talk about is nerd internet money no one cares. If you say you made 8k yesterday HOLY SHIT HOW CAN I BUY SOME?!

Just whip out your blockfolio and show them you are over 100k now. Pull a real smug look. They will buy as soon as they go home.

I got the refferal codes for 80 dollars for Crypto wallet, suggested my friends to get it, told them it takes 5 minutes of work basically and all they have to do is leave that icon on their phone for 3 months and they get after those 3 months pure 80 dollars. The only work required would be to take a screenshot of ID during registration, they all said they'll not do it, some said they're suspicious about someone just giving them the money, explained there's no cost involved, some said they don't like to send ID screenshot, some said they are just not interested in crypto.

Told them I can buy the crypto from them and hand them cash on hand, they still said they don't trust crypto :)) Told them I can do whole registration for them and hand them cash on hand, so they basically don't need to do a damn thing, they still kept babling that they just don't want to do anything with crypto. I said, that they literally don't have to deal with any crypto at all, since I'll do everything, they just need to extend the hand to receive paper money from me, they still refused kek.

Told them they're fucking idiots and dropped them as friends. I have no bloody intention to have people that earn 900 euro a month and flat out refuse to be handed 80 dollars on hand for doing absolutely nothing, anywhere near me.

exactly there's no reason for normies to "invest" in BTC unless they speculate that it'll be worth more later. This is counter to many other shitcoins that theoretically have a (potentially deflationary) token mechanic that evolves as the tech evolves. That's an investment.

Well you won't make it right away. The ultimate blackpill is extreme diversification.

VTI (stocks), BTC, VCSH (bonds), ETH, LINK and whatever altcoins you believe in and maybe some foreign indexes, in order by proportion, give it a decade or so and you've basically made it as long as you live within your means and learn to HODL gud

Me describing crypto to a family member last Easter.
>Bitcoin is similar to digital gold, in that it is a mutually agreed upon store of value. Its valuable because its rare and represents a certain amount of value stored on the blockchain. It requires no third party for transactions, and cannot be printed or hacked.
>Ethereum handles things called smart contracts, which makes it more of a service than a store of value. I would equate it to...
*family member interjects sarcastically*
>”Double gold! Am i right anon?”
>...
>Yeah sure, its double gold man.
I was going to explain to them exactly what this shit was about, but when you patronize me like that you can go fuck yourself. I have made nearly $100k since then. I dont tell anyone about it obviously, but I really hope I make it. Mostly just so i can invite my family over next Easter to say.

1. do i need a hardware wallet and what is a good one? if not, whats the best method for storage of your wallet? what is a good wallet to use?

2. are there any other options for an american besides coinbase and robinhood to convert USD to crypto? any recommendations? who has the lowest fees or best service?

3. do you recommend making a new bank accoutn separate from your normie wagecuck direct deposit account to feed cash into crypto exchanges? is the IRS going to fuck up my shit because i went out and bought crypto using my normie checking account?

4. do you guys make a new email account dedicated for crypto transactions? seems like a way to stay extra safe from hacking attempts

5. whats your preferred method of cashing out to USD if you had enough? can you buy shit like gold directly with crypto to avoid the taxman?
