Kappture, a leading electronic point of sale (EPoS) company, has announced its intention to exclusively integrate Nano into its cutting-edge merchant devices. The integration will mark the forward-thinking company’s first venture into offering users the opportunity to pay with cryptocurrency.

>“We anticipate Nano will be well received by Kappture’s established customer base, particularly among academic institutions,” said George Coxon, Nano Foundation Chief Operating Officer, “and this exciting opportunity reflects our determination in working to foster the right relationships.”

With highly regarded institutions such as Saïd Business School and the University of West London among the users of the cutting-edge EPoS system, this integration will represent a significant step forward in the discovery of natural use cases of secure and decentralized cryptocurrency – with the ultrafast and fee-less transactions of Nano leading the way.

>“Many of our higher education customers are opening blockchain postgrads this academic year. With recent advances in digital currency technology, specifically fee-less ultrafast transactions, there is a unique opportunity for these progressive institutions to consider digital currency for the first time,” said Neil Haran, Kappture’s chief technical officer, “having run centralized ledgers since 2012, we’re well placed to review the digital currency industry and, after a careful code review process, selected Nano as the project with the features required by the hospitality industry.”

You are the first to have said that to me EVER, male or female. I don't care what you are ,we in Nannis community are not judgmental at all, and most of us are very open minded to all sorts of experimentation, including sexual experimentation and anti-racism. >>14309142
Source? 7 million of the 133 million total nano is 5%. I believe the dev fund had a little bit less than this, is this what you are referring to? 5% for the devs is not a number I am seriously concerned about. It is something like 50% with XRP, while Satoshi himself mined about 5% of the total BTC supply.

I really don't see much of an issue, especially as this 5% is being used by the devs to launch new projects like Appia, which will potentially revolutionize the entire crypto payment space, and not just Nano, either.

It isn't like any single entity had a serious advantage with initial distribution. It went much like the initial mining process of BTC, only it was capped near the start. It seems to me that this is a benefit in many ways, as there are no more Nano being created to dilute the supply. It certainly does give those who had the luck or foresight to spend their days performing Captchas an advantage, however.

The way these guys are building their network reminds me of what I read of Elon Musk. When he started in one area, and found there were limitations in semi-related fields, he then started developing solutions in these semi-related fields, building solutions to problems in such a way that it not only supported his existing business ventures, but it granted him a head start and sort of monopoly over anyone else getting into the sphere... Kind of like owning all of the colors for a block in Monopoly.

Hence forth, I am all in. I don't know of another team in the crypto space that can solve such broad problems as what Nano accomplishes. I don't think an opportunity like this came around since BTC's first inception. ETH is the only other piece of software in the space that is really as revolutionary as Nano is. I cannot imagine buying anything else outside of these three. It just doesn't make any sense for a long term investment.

If you think about it even, the only reason ANY of these other cryptocurrencies have value, is because they exist within the same space as BTC and ETH. Every single cent that is invested in them, actually is loaned from their parents, Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Can you honestly say that your cryptocurrency has a value or would retain a value if these two never existed, or their value were to crash to zero? Nano would still have a use-case, and nano would still retain value as well. It stands alone and offers something that the world can benefit from. There may be others in this space, but not that many. Those that do offer something will still net some serious gains, take Chainlink for instance. But in the grand scheme of things, I think only BTC, ETH, & NANO (Maybe XMR) stand to grow another 100-1000x. Because they offer a service the world needs.

Nano is a dream for the enlightened dev. Imagine if there was a decentralized ping command that could be built into all computers, phones, hell, ANY device that has even the most basic of connective abilities to a larger network, and this decentralized ping costs nothing to send, is sent and received instantly, cannot be censored, and carries a unit of value with it?

This is what we are working with. Smart cities and an interconnected society that can exchange value as easily as we exchange information are just around the corner.
