damn that sounds like a pretty cool degree, why cant you get a job are you competing with chads or something

if youre not competing with chads and its the opposite problems, try to move to an area where they're hiring for a lot of positions in your field and don't have enough people for jobs that requires your skillset.

Learn how to code in R or something. If you aren't lying, you should have valuable skills.
Also, what fucking city do you live in? Here in North Texas you could get hired within 2 weeks of making a linkedin or indeed profile.

I live in London. Used to get at least 20 calls from recruiters a week expecting to hire Data science wizards. After interviews and shit, at the end of the day they always find someone with more experience than me. Honestly tired of it all

How the fuck? I have a PhD in maths (nothing to do with data science) and did some Coursera courses on data science/machine learning and applied for around 20-30 jobs in London, and got an offer from one of those. I literally just know Python, don't know SQL, R or any of that shit. Don't have any big projects to show off, literally just the Coursera assignments.

Didn't take that job because I got another offer and didn't want to move to London (I live in Ireland).

I applied for 400+ jobs all over Europe. But a lot of those applications were before I completed the data science/ML courses, my success went up once I completed those. And if you're applying from a different country that makes it harder. I don't know how you live in London, with a masters, and still haven't found a job after 8 months.

I work in data science too anon. The problem in this field is you have hordes of pajeets claiming to be expert level in various programming languages and types of software, in addition to their made up degrees from some non existent University in India. A lot of these are also not found out during the hiring process and slip through the net, as HR like to interfere and make the job interview about irrelevant bullshit - so in a lot of cases they get hired instead of actual competent people.

The more important question is, how much BTC and LINK do you own? In a years time you might not need to work anyway.
