14194269 No.14194269 [Reply] [Original]

Is Monero quite possibly, /ourcoin/?
>adaptive blocksize (gtfo bcash, and SV)
>fungible coins, a fundamental part of currency
>i2p integration being worked on as we speak
>RandomX mining algorithm to be deployed in October
which will increase decentralization and banishes ASICs from the network forever, while also keeping mining more egalitarian
>the cutting edge of development and privacy in the crypto space
>stealth addresses, ring signatures and confidential transactions
>private by default
>Monero messaging system
>code has be audited and reworked endlessly by the third highest developer count of all cryptocurrencies, only behind BTC and ETH
>devs fully funded by the community
see: https://ccs.getmonero.org/

Monero is literally the closest thing to cash we can get when it comes to crypto
>>but muh government will ban it
they said the same about bitcoin in the early days
>>but what about zcash?
Zcash has many problems, they have talked about implementing back doors for governments(literally wtf), have a dev tax, trusted setup is massive issue, not being private by default makes all private transactions essentially useless through analysis heuristics,

because /biz/ is full of speculative investors who view crypto as a get rich quick scheme and not anarcho-capitalists who view crypto as the beginning of the fourth industrial revolution and a means to restoring power and privacy to the people from tyrannical governments and unfair taxes by reintroducing the fundamentals of sound money principals to the modern computer era.

>> No.14194534

I believe so. If Monero becomes a common micropayments coin, it will absolutely smash it.

Because /biz/ isn’t based. Chainlink is not based. Nu/biz/ only cares about getting rich as quick as possible and essentially has a gamblers mindset. They don’t want steady gains long into the future they want a moonmission in a short time cause all your based coiners left after they got rich in 2017 and now you have the leftovers from that

You're going to want to use a pool. I have had good luck with minexmr. Download the latest Monero GUI wallet from github, get an address for yourself, download xmr-stak from github, then just fire up xmr-stak and answer the prompts and you're mining. Don't get too excited, you're only going to be mining about $1 of Monero per day with that hardware but hey it's something.

U faggots have no clue. First you should read thecaseforbsv.com , there is a small section in the middle on XMR that explains why it will go down. You kids cannot even understand the difference between privacy and anonymity. Bitcoin is legal and will stay legal (at least bsv) because law enforcement can TRACK IT. Which they have done plenty. Its by now ROUTINE for mid tier law enforcement to track Bitcoin payment streams. You cannot do that with Monero. DING DING DING. This pisses them off already since a few years. Once XMR crosses a certain awareness thresshold (price or some mainstream crypto news that gets this agenda on the table) Monero will get BANNED in one country after another. Thats a huge fucking problem for legislators and laws that this “””privacy””” coin is actually not private as Bitcoin is but anonymous. You really need to be Sub 80IQ or totally naive to think there is any other way. This happened with egold and liberty reserve before: one day they will go down to ZERO within moments. It’s inevitable. Im an old guy i know how this show is run. When you least expect it law enforcement and legislators will take it down.

In a nutshell: no one will want it cause you cannot buy real world legal stuff with it. Theres no use for a currency that you cannot exchange for real world goods or money. Why should i own this? Thats why the price will go to zero. A banned currency. Why the fuck should i exchange my btc for xmr if xmr is banned? At least i can cash out my btc to usd somewhere. You wont be able to do so with xmr. The price of XMR will go to zero cause every real world exchange that is certified for fiat will delist it. It will simply go down to zero cause it becomes USELESS. its not the coin ban itself that kills it, its the exchanges that cut it off from getting converted into fiat. You can convert every shitcoin into fiat one way or the other but you wont be able to do that with a banned currency. And good luck with a DEX: exchanging it there for other crypto assumes that you find someone who is so stupid to actually want this USELESS money. Get it now?

Monero is currently at $1,65 billion market cap, imagine how it will moon if someone decides to launder as little as $1billion, which is more than half of Monero marketcap?
Normies will fomo in the time they will see how price increases.

When BTC replaces fiat, there will be no way to launder money without anonymous coins. So money will fucking flow into it and pump it to Mars. And even now it's easier to do launder money and send bribes via monero than via offshores.

Learn some economics pajeet.
Coins pump when there's demand for them. All these partnership news move price higher because they make the coin more desirable for people who believe in this news. So they go and put their money into this coin, demand starts overpoising bid, and thus the price rises.
So the price of a coin depends on the amount of cash that can be flown into it.
U admitted that XMR is criminal coin, and I pointed how large is criminal cash that is ready to be put into Monero.

So he'll be fleeing the nation and live the rest of his life on... 8000 dollars, I'm sorry that's not even enough to live comfortably in Nigeria. For him to actually get "fugitive money", he'll need to be making something like a million USD a year, and at that level, what's the point in running?
