What do you think "criminal offence" means

Here's some advice for when you're in prison: to stop the beatings by brown people, you have to have an "angle" or a "hustle". All of these "people" are functionally illiterate and while criminal, they still miss their families dearly. Transcribe letters so that they can communicate back and forth with their families - this is especially valuable for the criminals who can barely speak English, much less write it. They talk, you write.

ALWAYS charge for this service. Charge maybe, a cigarette or coffee or some other luxury item. If you don't charge, you will be seen as weak and will end up doing everything to stop further beatings. Never, not even once, offer to do it for free.

Oh and they're not going to rape you, if you're worried about that. The worst of it will be the beatings and them making you clean their toilets/jail cells/lockers/whatever. Probably laundry too.
