Is something wrong with me biz. I just got this job a couple months ago btw if it helps. I plan on saving more next month. My goal is to have 10k saved by new years with my car paid off (currently owe 6k on it). I plan on cutting off all fast food and limiting myself to eating out once a month. Also, I just broke up with my gf which she accounted for most of my spending (trips, festivals, activities, useless shit). Can I turn around and make it?

God damn it.
Why do westerners have to be this fucking pathetic? Every single day I see at least one American complaining about a life that billions of people dream of, yes, BILLIONS.

It's like you've never grown out of your boy phase. You have all the capital to succeed and you spit on it like it's dirt.

Car notes kill. Get a 15 year old Lexus with low miles used if you need a car. Only wealthy people can afford new cars. People get fooled into buying new cars because of marketing. That aside you should have some money in the bank. It's not like you have many expenses. You have a higher income than me and I have 21k in the bank after a year of labor.

you need to actually figure out your monthly spending, every penny, and then optimize a budget

you also need to invest aggressively and minimize your tax burden
the key is going to be living with your parents and not speaking to women

oh I forgot the actually difficult part you will have to contend with, to do this you have to cast aside the life script of a beta provider and any kind of lifestyle that will make you relatable to the proles around you

prepare to deal with social shaming and everyone thinking you are beneath them, or mentally ill, or greedy, for not being an intellectually compliant peon
and when you actually have financial independence and don't show interest in corporate ladder climbing you will be viewed as low value and lacking ambition

Literally how? I only make 30k a year, live on my own, pay rent, bills, and liberally eat out and have a bit over 2k right now. You could buy 15 used cars with the money you make each year. Do you live in one of the world's most expensive cities? What are you spending the money on?

I'm 21 and just got a 60k job out of college but my state is blue so I only see about 40k of that. Moving out soon so will be spending about 800 on rent and utilities ( splitting with roommate). Leaves me about 34k a year.

Either way, I'm doing better than most of the people I went to high school with so I can't complain.
